I do wince every time I see my sig and am always tempted to remove it.
But it's a secret from everyone else I know, and then it's "Out of Sight, Out of Mind".
So by bearing my soul on here (even though I had a mini-meltdown last night:o) it keeps my mind focused - so I think it defo helps!
Good Luck x
Pretty much how I see it too. Before using MSE, my debt levels sometimes went down a little for a couple of months before rising again. I didn't even know how much I owed for pity's sake. I was too scared to look. This year has been the first time for years that my debts have shown a steady and sustained reduction. The next 6 months - 1 year will be harder though as I will probably need to go on minimum payments only while I save for the January tax bill. I haven't even paid the one due by July 31st yet but, on the basis that the card companies penalise late payment harder than the taxman, I'm afraid the taxman will have to wait a bit longer. I'm currently £210 short on that one. Even this is a major improvement because, in the last few years, I've simply written out a credit card cheque to them.0 -
I'm sneaking on here and risking the wrath of Macgirl with a pad of £1 to start me off for August - some bigger ones soon I promise! (runs away )
