I have been on the forums since November (In terms of debt-busting) and have found PAD to be the best thing for focussing the brain and really fighting my debts.
You can pay anything, big or small, and it's up to you if you include minimum payments or just additional ones. Some people on here are now debt-free and paying into savings, still using the PAD method. It's amazing how much extra money you can find! The only rule we have is that you make your PAD amount bright and cheerful to make it easy for the adder-upper (This month it's the lovely Double Trouble)
Speaking of which, £1 PAD for me today please!0 -
Just been out with a friend for drinks and eats. We had a salad which was so bland, plus the service was dire.
When they came to collect the plates and did the usual "Was everything alright?" I said (very politely) "Not really, it was a bit bland to be honest".
My mate nearly slid off the chair and under the table with embarrassment - until the waitress came back and said
"We've knocked them off your bill". Result!
So an extra £4.75 in the pot please DT! (yes it was the cheapest and only veggie thing on the menu!)
Night all x
Well done youActually, think it might be 8oz of Oats, 5oz of Butter and 4oz of Sugar
Oops, had some vino - will check tomorrow - hic!
My PAD for today is £3.95

:hello: Hey everyone!Woo it's my Friday, thank fuff!
13 hour day yesterday  All okio?
£10.40 for me today please DT! £5.40 over to sMint and £5 to Virgin on the ridiculoud as it's so ridiculous how much interest they charge me :rotfl:Well spoke to Barclaycard this morning and they can offer me two things but no credit increase. I could do with a majority vote for the best option!1. LOTB at 6.9% on a credit limit of £1,000.
2. 0% BT until January 2010.
3. Bin the card. What do you say?I'm inclined to grab the first one and BT some of that £3k Virgin on the ridiculous, easing me up for Uni. I appreciate any pointing in the right direction!
Good luck with the t'interview Andy! Prep before an interview's always a good sign but I'm sure you can charm 'em!Should really go and get some petrol before the drive to work. Catch you all later!

£20 to the taxman.
I'm having to focus on this at the moment as 31/7 is the deadline for paying this one and I have £480 to go. Mind you, I never completed my last half yearly bill until mid February (it was due by 31/1) and they never stuck any interest on. Their interest rate for late payments is pretty fair so long as you are no more than a month late. Once you get to being over a month late, they slap a 5% surcharge on any amount still unpaid.
I also wanted to see the second digit drop down in my debts owing amount. Another small step for mankind.0 -

I agree with F_F. If you go for the time limited 0%, you will probably feel under pressure to pay it off before the 0% has expired and this will stop you focusing on the much more expensive debt. The 6.9% LOB deal is one where you can chip away with minimum payments while attacking the more expensive debt. Just make sure that the BT fee and first months interest don't put you over limit.0
