:hello:Hey everyone,
I have stubled across this forum from MSE site and I must say, and this probably not going to sound how it should, but you have made me feel better. I am not alone, and I am not the only person to have run up a load of debt that I am struggling to manage!
I lay awake at night worrying and stressing and feeling guilty and feeling like the only person in the world, and I feel so jealous and envious of people with more money than me, or people who (I think) are debt free - it's taking over my life, and managed to ruin my weekend after meeting up with some of my husbands friends at an event and feeling completely inadequate!
Just wanted to say hi and thanks and that I want to know what this PAD thing is all about!

We won't take offence we would all rather not be in debt but at least we are doing something about it and a bet a lot of the people you met have debts too but are just not facing up to them.
At least you are looking for help and you have come to the right place. PAD is just that every day we make a payment to our debts whether it be 1p or many pounds depending on individual circumstances. Some people pay it every day off a debt by internet banking others put in a jar or piggy bank and when it mounts up pay it off a debt. Some people count their normal monthly payments as part of PAD others only count extra payments. It is entirely up to you.
It does work it is amazing how much money you spend on unecessary things and when you think do I really want this magazine, new top or whatever or do I want to pay something towards to my debt and you can see that debt coming down on a daily basis it really helps.
No rules except put any amounts you pay in big, bold or colour. Everyone is really friendly and non judgmental on this thread but slightly mad so be warned and once you join you can never leave :rotfl:so when you are debt free you can use your PAD for savings (I like the sound of that word not ever been very good at it though:mad:) and if you want to lose weight we have a diet challenge as well.
So welcome on board you won't regret it.
