Hi all, actually have a Saturday off for once! :j Just 50p to Barclaycard today.

My youngest cat is hyper today and keeps running around mad and pulling all his blankets out of his bed.

    :hello: Hey everyone!
Everyone doing OK? I've only been out of bed the last half an hour or so but needed the lie in after entertaining a 3yr 'til 1am *yawn*
£1 for me today please Paul. Getting ever closer to payday. Cannot wait.
Wanted to get out for another bike ride today but we have a weather warning in place for thunderstorms and heavy rain so don't look like that will be happening. What to do instead!? :rotfl:
Sue, good news to hear money's finally coming your way for OHs wages but doesn't excuse the fact that the payroll woman forgot to press the OK button! Raah!
Have a greta day today everyone and catch up later.

  • £25.15 in total for me yesterday and today, when the payments clear on monday my HSBC card will be down to just £150 :j So close now I'm definitely gonna clear it this month, and I'm almost tempted to do it as soon as my wages clear but then I might struggle to make PAD for the rest of the month!

:THuge congrats to keza, you must be so happy :T

Sarah fill hubby full of ibuprofen to shut him up! No seriously hope he feels better and you can get out and let your hair down- sounds like you really need it.

Sue thats so frustrating about the wages, and the cheek to not even be apologetic! You're lucky you do have some savings though- I know its not the point but if my wages were late I would be stuffed because everything comes out my account a few days after payday and there is no way I have the cash sitting around to pay for it!

hope everyone else is having a good weekend

Right, am off for a long awaited haircut. I'm going to get my passport piccies done straight after so that i'll be in with a fighting chance of looking half decent :D

Well this plan failed miserably. I'm sure i don't look as bad in the mirror as i do in my passport photos!! I've told hubby that if i do, i am never going out ever again :p

Hopeful you're sounding positive that's really good, you are proof again that PADing works. We all know it does but sometimes we just need to remind ourselves  Enjoy the haircut and remember no smiling in the passport piccies either ;) Where are you off to?

Hi Jo, hopefully we'll be off to Spain for a week before i am too large to fit on a 'plane :pWith regard to PaD working, i think the addiction keeps you focused if nothing else. I know there's days i haven't been able to PaD but i don't stop thinking about it and can't wait until i can! I can see the end with some of my smaller debts to my friend / family which certainly helps. I've discovered Barclays are charging a whole heap of interest despite agreeing a lower repayment plan, so i need to plow as much into this asap.

My hubby reckons i don't normally look as bad as i do in the passport photo 'cause usually i'm smiling. So, no more grumpy faces for me lol

Update on OH wages...............gee I am so mad, she "forgot" to press the OK button to send the wages from their bank to ours !!!!! My OH wages was the only one except for hers. The comment this time, as OH had pointed out we had to dip into our savings to cover it was, we should keep money in our current account and they have several thousand in theirs...................

Talk about insensitive. Don't waste your energy getting mad with ignoramuses (i may have made this word up) like her. As i say, what goes around, comes around. She'll get some and more for an attitude like that ;)

Given my empoyment status at the minute, I'm not sure if I can afford to make a payment every single day, but I'll try.

Every little penny really does make a difference. As your addiction to PaD starts to grow, you will notice other little things you spend money on that perhaps you don't need to. Good luck with your journey and the job hunting ;)

Hi Diet, congrats on the HSBC card being down to £150 :j:j
Funny thing is 3 months ago we would have been b****red. dd's would have hit on monday and I think we would have had about 6 charges of £25. Luckily I got a tax refund and a little voice said.................save, save, save.........................I swear it sounded like Mr Lewis (god) This has made me realise that my emergency does need to be bigger, when I joined I was ticked off by an MSE'r for not paying this onto my cc's as the interest was appauling....................good job I hadn't, as I had already done the food, petrol shop by the time we found out. After I have cleared my lowest card I will be saving for F&F's as our other 3 cards have just agreed to 0% re viewable after 12 months, so I will stash it all in the same pot :T

Love it, I am a great believer in "what comes around..............." funny thing is I have been told (reliable source) she is really cr*p at her book keeping and I know I could sort her out in a jiffy.
It never ceases to amaze me that people treat us like we are second class thick citizens cos we are overweight, do they get a shock sometimes :rotfl:

Pickle, every penny does help and Hopeful is right you do look to save a few extra pennies to PAD
