    Hi everyone :)

    No pad as usual for this month. Its supposed to be my weigh in day today, but I went all the way to the gym this morning and then realised I'd forgotten my 50p for the scales! :mad: So I will probably wait now till thursday and weigh in with the rest of you.

    What Angelicmary and Macgirl were saying about babies made me laugh - according to my mum, when I was a baby I was awful - wouldn't sleep, took ages to eat anything, etc etc. When my sister was born she was the exact opposite, and my mum said that she didn't think babies were meant to sleep so much, and more than once she held a mirror under my sisters nose to make sure she was actually alive! :rotfl: She also confessed that if I hadn't been so bad they probably would have had more kids :o

    Hope you've all had a nice day in the rain...
    Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

    :rotfl::rotfl:bless.

    My mum always complains that my brother was the awful one as a baby. He took his food quickly, but always wanted more. She always said she barely got any sleep with him. But when i was born she kept checking on me as i straight away slept through the night. She even had to keep waking me up as i wasnt putting on enough weight in the first few weeks.....always have liked my sleep :rotfl:

    Mac it's so frustrating because we jabbed a fork through all the teats but it didn't seem to make a difference!!

    I know Adam wants to drink the milk so I suppose I wasn't really force feeding him, he just falls asleep really quickly and it's getting annoying!

    Had to buy 6 new bottles with faster flowing teats...it would seem there's no such thing as a standard sized teat so I couldn't replace the teats we've got with new ones (I didn't want to have to go down the route of buying tommy tipee bottles @ £11 for 2 then spending £3 on 2 teats! :eek:) so now I've got half a dozen bottles with jabbed teats and no use for them...not very :money:!!

    A FORK???!!!! You'll drown him!!!
    Just kidding.
    Can't believe that you can't buy standard teats now....they've totally got you haven't they? I used Dr.Brown bottles after I was told they helped with colic. The teats seemed fast flowing (but it's a while ago - DD1 is 5 on friday - where does the time go?!). It was MSE Mum who said to make more holes with a needle - seemed to work well....

    I guess each baby is individual, which is a beautiful thing - but also frustrating! Let us know how you get on x

    :rotfl:I jabbed the fork through the hole in the teat to try and widen it a little but it didn't help, the silicone seemed to stretch and make a little tunnel which narrowed at the bottom, iyswim!

    The standard sized teats that we found were latex and didn't really want to subject him to that! Tesco do a range but the teats are quite long and we found that DD choked trying to use them! We used mothercare teats for her but low and behold they don't do the ones we wanted in standard size anymore :rolleyes:

    The NUK ones we used at the hospital seemed to go down o.k and I've found them in sillicone but they are £1.99 for 2 plus p&p from mothercare so I'm in 2 minds as whether or not to buy them to as I've just bought stuff today so don't really want to have to buy more but I've always said that money is no object when it comes to stuff the babies need (not want!) so I think I'll have to invest in some more teats as the new ones didn't go down so well either!

    I'll never get Barclaycard paid off at this rate!! :rolleyes:
