I'd let CCCS do it. Personally I'm not sure where I'd get an up to date list from, other than from a credit report...DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

Hello!
I haven't been on here for aaaaages, I thought I'd pop in and see how everyone was doing, but I don't recognise a lot of the names now!
Things are plodding along for me I suppose. Been on the DMP for 6 months now. I never get letters from creditors, or phone calls. I get the occasional text from Roxburghe (Nationwide CC) to call them, but I never have and they don't seem to bother.
I had a shock back in Dec, when 3 months into my DMP I got a court summmons from Northern Rock. They had never accepted nor rejected the DMP, so this was them just telling me it was a no! At one time I would have wanted to curl up and die, and just let it go to court. But instead I wrote straight to NR, and their solicitor saying they were taking me to court despite my DMP, and that if they did so they could be assured I would file for my own bankruptcy immediatley afterwards and as I have neg equity and no earnings to arrest, they'd get nowt. They were very quick to write back and tell me court proceedings would not continue and they would accept the DMP. Haven't heard a peep since. :T
Tesco never formally accepted, but I haven't heard from them at all except the odd statement. Egg accepted straight away. MBNA accepted straight away. Coventry wee very helpful and pleasant to me and also accpeted straight away. All my creditors stopped interest after 2 months at the most.
Sometimes I think we'd be better off going BR, we have nothing to lose - but we struggle on and pay our DMP, it will be worth it in the end! We'll be increasing our payments to almost double within the next 12 months, then in 2 years again when OH's other kids turn 16 and he won't be paying for them anymore, so we'll really be able to start pounding the debts!
I hope everything is going well for everyone, and a big welcome and good luck to all the new peeps!I'm 26, been with my OH for 8 years - we have 3 beautiful daughters and no debt collector can ever touch our family.LBM: 03/10/09 Unsecured Debts: 69K  DMP Start Date 01/11/2009.0 -

Proud to be dealing with my debts

Hi Guys
I hope you are all well today and your DMP'S are going well.
If you remember my previous posts regarding Halifax and their constant telephone calls, Well I received a written reply to my original complaint last week stating that all telephone contact would stop until March 30th. Well guess what they haven't and I am still receiving telephone calls and text messages daily.
I am now awaiting a reply to my second letter.
I find it really strange that they accepted payments for 9 months then changed their minds, I could actually see the debt starting to reduce.
Apart fom that all of my other creditors have been as good as gold.DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Wow where is everyone
I feel cheeky posting so many times.
When a debt has been passed to a DCA and they say that they are offically acting on behalf of their client to recover the monies owed to them, does this mean that the original lender still owns the debt and have employed the DCA to do the dirty work, or has the DCA bought the debt outright.
If the original lender still owns the debt and the DCA is working on their behalf, is their less chance of a low full and final being accepted.
ThanksDMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
It's me again, maybe this should become Scouselad 1974 Forum :rotfl:
I've just came home from work to another statement from Aqua (Halifax) and once again they have added interest and late payment charges to my account.
As you know from previous posts, they originally accepted my DMP without a problem and froze interest, then without warning they restarted collection action. I explained my situation to them in a letter and also asked CCCS to contact them which they did. I then received a reply from Aqua asking for proof of income, CCCS recomended that I didn't supply this as they supply everything that Aqua require to accept my DMP. I then sent a complaint to Aqua regarding this whole matter asking them to reconsider, I received a reply stating that they had not received anything from CCCS or proof of my income from myself. They did however promise to stop all telephone contact until March 30th, this did not happen and I still continue to receive calls and text messages. They also agreed to refund interest and charges that had been added to my account last month. I have since replied to the letter I received regarding my complaint and now await Aqua's reply.
I'm sorry to bring this up again but a good old rant does help with the frustrationbasically on the staement received today Aqua have now added another load of interest and late payment charges after just refunding last months. So basiaclly they have wiped out every payment I have made since starting my DMP last year and I now owe more than I did to start with.
I have stuck to my DMP budget from day one and never missed a payment to any of my creditors, I have even managed to increase my DMP deposit, but when something like this happens it does make you wonder if bankruptcy would be the better option, as what is to stop every other creditor doing the same thing at some point. I sound like a right drama queenDMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
ah Scouse you go for a good rant.
sometimes its the only thing that helps. Halifax appear to do exactly what they want, they told us we would pay 6% on my CC and when I got the statement, they've cancelled all interest but added to OH?????
Am only posting in sympathy, could you try phoning them again, keep asking for a supervisor and keep taking names till you get someone who talks sense??? Worked for me, but you have to have patience and be calmly assertive letting them know you're not daft. Or you could phone and do the recording thing, I'm looking forward to using that the next time any of them annoy me.............More than Two Years in
Doing it the Niddy way:j:j:j0 -
Hi
Thanks for the reply, I can't believe that they added your interest to your o/h credit card now that is a gem isn't it but well believable.
I think I will have to be patient and await the reply to my complaint before doing anything else. That's my problem, I like to get things sorted out asapDMP mutual support thread member:3270 -

1) Out buying Euromillions tickets?
2) Busy stuffing fivers under the mattress?
3) Writing begging letters and offering to sell their souls to creditors?
Answers on a postcard please!:)
So sorry to hear you've been having a rough ride lately Scouselad. It just don't make no sense does it??? But remember 'never let the b*st*rds grind you down'
