Hi
Newbey here, just posted off to CCCS, and creditors now scared stiff, I am waking up in the morning thinking about it going to sleep worrying about it. I think I am driving myself round the twist!!.0 -
Hello all,
Still very quiet at the moment but not sure how long that will last! I see from Justabank my payments have gone out to my creditors and saw tonight logging onto my "old" bank account that the payments have reached them, so things moving along (and was strangely excited but I think that's a little sad . . .). There was some sort of !!!! up with my standing order (not sure if it was me, or the bank, or both) and I ended up having two versions of the same standing order set up, and a second payment went out! I had hysterics over this but rang Payplan the next morning who were ever so good and said they would just return the extra payment. I've also had a second default notice arrive from Egg! ???? This one has the "pay us or else" date set back two weeks from the first, and while the total balance and arrears amount remain the same, the overlimit amount seems to have disappeared off the second default. Oh well.
Oh, and got my M & S statement today and noticed there are no late payment/overlimit fees added this month, and the PPI has been stopped, so that's a development. Still 250 quid a month interest being added though! Well, it's a starting point to work on anyway.
Regarding the missing postal order situation, I rang this number - 01246 542 500 - very helpful, they were able to tell me if all of my postal orders were cashed from the ref ID. It seems one was cashed a good ten days after the others so I suspect this is the nicked one. I think becasue they weren't crossed I might not have much chance of getting it back but since it was recorded post I'm going to fill in the form and go through the claim process anyway and see where that gets me. So if anyone is about to send postal orders for token payments I would say, ask for them crossed, and make a note on each receipt which one has gone to which creditor, so they can be traced and claimed for if lost!

I'm a big fan of Iceland and their 3 for a tenner wine deal. I'm weighing this up at the moment though against Sainsbury's "get 300 Nectar points if you spend £7 on booze" offer. I can collect up my points, convert them into Sainsbury's vouchers, to spend on more booze . .
Big welcome to all newcomers - Merecat, you are doing the right thing, believe me, it does get better once the process starts. I was in a horrible place three months ago, now have just started my first month with Payplan, and second month proper without credit. And this is a brilliant place to come as so many people are in the same boat, and someone is always on hand to help
