Had to borrow DDs laptop as computer still not sorted out for viruses etc.

Going out for fruit and veg later if DH will drive to Aldi and Lidl and want to pop to library before it closes for book for DD.

Might do home made pizza for tea and enjoying some peace and quiet this morning.

    Hugs to everybody.

Have just read sybil's blog, found it by reading Hesters home page and then following link on there.

    Morning Everyone

Its grey, grim and wet here this morning

I nipped to Asda first thing to get a few bits before hubby goes to work. Its MD's confirmation tomorrow and I've got the cake in the oven at the moment.I'll decorate it tomorrow. She tried her outfit on yesterday and looks gorgeous in her dress etc.I can feel proud mummy tears coming on tomorrow:oI must remember to put new batteries in the camera as I want loads of pics. We're going for a meal at the local Beefeater after the ceremony so no cooking for me tomorrow other than brekkie that is

I've been planning the new garden layout with OH and it looks like we are going to go for a central decked area with raised beds around the sides and the rest of the garden gravelled. Our garden has such a high water table that its unusable for 11months of the year so gravel might not be the best solution its better to use it than just look at it:mad:

Got some Ironing to crack on with in a minute and of course washing.Theres still a load of washing on the line from yesterday:oThe rain started so suddenly and so hard last night there was no way I was going out to collect it.Still raining now but not as hard so will go and get it in a minute and rewash it

I've got some confirmation cards to make this afternoon and I fancy getting the paints out with the kids.Dining Room carpet still hasnt been shampooed :oso that really has to be done today before we have guests tomorrow so maybe the paints will have to wait

MSD-My Desktop has done exactly the same as yours I hope my HD isn't corrupted.I hope Tristan logs on or at least emails you today

DD&D-You've gone quiet again. Its raining now so you havent the excuse of being in the garden.GET POSTING!:D

Tiredmum-My Dad always said that things happened for a reason and I reckon you didnt get the job because theres a better one round the corner

JackieO-Great news from the Oncologist and I'm sure you'll breeze the Mammogram as these people usually all have the results long before we get them and if he saw anything wrong he'd be doing something about it

    Good morning everyone :hello:

Not much going on here. I've popped into the town for my beautician's appointment and realised that we're seeing a friend later today whose little girl will be 5 next weekend. Instead of me having to post a present, I've managed to be organised and get a present.... all I need to do now is wrap it up!

I've got one of those charity bags to fill up with clothes, but this one is in aid of the school that I work in. I'm wondering whether we can find anything else to get rid of? We had a bag earlier this year so quite a lot of stuff went then. I'm sure that I can find more!

I think lunch will be ham sandwiches. We're going out to a friend's for a barbecue tonight (in their garage, no doubt!), so don't need too much.

    Bye for now

    Hello :hello:

The sun is trying to come through, say it quietly, there are soft shadows on the ground:j Just came in from a walk round my veggies :D They're all in pots and a basket so no great area, but doing really well. I have 6 developing courgettes :D:D and my tumbler toms in the basket are beginning to redden. Picked my first salad leaves last night, and artfully arranged them on top of the bought salad leaves :o:rotfl:How sad am I?:o:o

Ironing is all up to date, and only a tiny load of washing to do, so the weekend is looking good :D We're babysitting tonight so no chance of doing anything but watch TV, listen to music or read a book, so a good evening. I do plan on doing some cooking tomorrow. I've run out of my freezer staples of curry, chili and bolognaise so will have to make a batch of each. Even in my very limited freezer space, they more than earn their keep.

welcome back anniestar :D wish anniebooklover would pop in too!:D
good to see you too mrs mix:D

The dinger has just rung, so my butternut squash soup is ready. Off for a generous bowlful with my still warm crusty bread, yummy.

Haribo hope you get rid of that cough soon.
tiredmum sorry you didn't get the job, hopefully something else will come along.

    Bye for now, CM x

Was wakened this morning by a tiny blue tit sitting on the main bedroom light shade, singing his heart out...he had obviously come in through the open window, so opened all windows in an effort to let him out, he flew against one of the non-opening windows and I don't know if he got out or not....can't find him in the room, have to go on all over search later, birds are so frail that the bang against the window may have been enough to kill him...poor little thing.

Pelting rain here to-day, windy too, hope that it doesn't destroy my roses which are coming out fast, garden in general can do with water so pleased from that point of view, things are coming on very well, nice to have fresh veg to pick for dinner each day.

No plans made for the weekend, turning out to be the lazy one I want, have been very unOS and bought 2 fillet steaks for OH and me, nobody else here for dinner.....actually OH gave me the money, its not even coming out of my food budget, so it will taste better!

Hugs to all in need or want, have a good weekend

    Evening all

Well we finally have the dress:j:j:j

We had a lovely run out to the bridal shop I mentioned this morning but despite DD1 trying on in excess of a dozen dresses there and the owner and assistants being so helpful but I could tell that none of them were "the dress" so we decided to call it a day.

On the way home we called in at the hotel where the reception is to be held, for lunch and whilst passing noticed a bridal shop we hadn't known about, decided to call in there just for a quick look, despite my DD1 really not wanting to try anymore on and spotted the dress as soon as we walked in. She tried it on and I knew it was the right one for her as she burst into tears!!!!! Cue crying by me and DD2 and the poor saleslady didn't know what to make of it:o So it is now ordered and she is one happy young lady:D:D:D So quite an emotional day had by all!

So not much OS been done after all I am afraid. Have set bm off, feed tomato plants and had a quick wipe round but that is all I have done in the house. So have a nice evening all, off to celebrate now with a huge glass of wine.

    xxx
