Morning everyone :hello:
Don't know why I am up as I promised myself a lie in but what can you do? Still coughing for Ireland so that's probably why.Dishwasher and washing machine are on and I've had my 2 cups of coffee in the garden. I gardened most of the day yesterday to leave myself free to do things with the girls this weekend.
It's our local fete today and so far it is dry and bright. I also need to get a few bits for DTwins birthday in town and nip to Lidl for milk, veg and dog food. Have defrosted loads of sausages for sausage sandwiches at lunch time. We may take them cold to the beach and give the dog a run.
OH is thinking about going fishing this evening so if that happens it will be a picnic tea as well.
I'm really really trying to keep on top of the house this week as I have family coming to stay on Thursday and the girls' birthday party next Saturday. In the meantime there is office work to be done and loads of stuff to be completed for the gardening club.
Well done on the new wardrobe PP.
Glad you had some good fortune Taplady.
Sorry about your puter MSD. You've reminded me that I have a tonne of photos to put on disc.
Hope you have a lovely day Essex Girl.
How is my darling nephew Pink? Remember what you were like as a teenager?:whistle::silenced::p;):D
Lovely to see a few old faces yesterday. Maybe the others MIA can all come back now too. Please. And that means you too Tru.
Have a lovely Saturday everyone, whatever you get up to.

OK, this mornng I have one load in the wm, and another to go in, will hang it on the airer.
Need to hoover through and mop floors, empty bins and have a general tidy.
I also need to pop to a shop for a few bits, meant to do this yesterday but got sidetracked.
My sister is in the process of moving, they are lucky enought to still own both houses, so it can be a gradual move, so I think I might go and help them today, mainly packing boxes and cleaning I think
Something quick for tea tonight, maybe a cooked chicken with crusty bread and salad.
Bacon sandwiches for breakfast, better go and get them on and wake my dd.
Oh meant to say proud mum alert my DD got the top score in her English test, (what would have been her sat test):T
Have good days all xx0 -
Hi there folks
Well dry but very dull here.
Had a fantastic night on the boogie bus last night. Have a new found respect for the fitness of Pole Dancers  We had so much fun trying to dance round the pole. It wasn't the prettiest of sights but funny to say the least :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Today don't think much will get done  Have blisters on my little toes from new shoes last night. The only thing is that the blisters are literally the size of my little toes and go right round the sides of them so don't think I can get shoes on. Am sat struggling to keep my slippers on.
Have some things to do in the garden as have had loads of strawberries but the plants are now looking a bit past their best.
redruby - Well done to dd on the test.
noahspennilessmum - make sure you get some rest or you will end up paying for the rushing around later.
Katzen - Hopefully all the hard work will pay off very soon for you :T
Pen pen - Amazing finds in the charity shop
MSD - Hope you hear from Tristan soon
Hugs to all that need them and hopefully the weather will brighten up soon xxAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Morning everyone.
Late for me. I had a lie in yay!!!!
It is tipping it down here. Rain so heavy the back garden is starting to flood a little. Well at least my water butt will be full again. Looked at the weather forecast for the week ahead and it will be WET WET WET!!!! Not sure if that's a good thing with a very "outdoors-y" 3 year old!
Think might have to bung on his waterproofs and wellies and take him for a spash anyway.
OS job - beds to strip although lord knows how long the sheets will take to dry on the airer but don't have any other choice.
Might make a start at looking at clothes for holiday and thinking about toys to pack etc.
Not sure what's on the planner for tea.
Have to go shopping. Might check out Morrisons seeing as everyone seems so keen on them. Hope they have organic carrots. Can't live without these as I love them raw!!!!
Veggies having a well earned drink. Should give my poor water meter a rest for a bit. Courgette has some flowers appearing an another vegetable (or is it fruit) starting to grow I think. Brassicas seem to be doing OK still. Got to plant in my leeks before we go on holiday. Not much chance of that in this weather!!!
Anyway have a lovely day everyone OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hi everyone. Not had much time on here lately; we've been busy in the house and garden. Like the UK, it's been raining here and looks like it will carry on for a few days. It's still warm, though.
JackieO - I'm so glad things are going well for you.
Tired Mum - sorry about the job. You'll find the right one soon, I'm sure.
Well, as I say, we've been really busy on the house, the garden and socialising! I really must sort out some photos to put on Facebook. DH is out with the camera at the moment; he has a customer who's been looking for garden gates, and he has found a brilliant quincallerie (hardware) store that sells second-hand bits and pieces. He's found some good gates there and we need to send a photo of them to the customer. He has a few jobs lined up over the next few weeks, so that means less work on our house, but more spare time for me on here!
I have only been speed-reading the threads over the last week or so, so welcome to any newbies and congratulations where required.
We visited a friend yesterday who breeds Tonkinese cats - a cross between Burmese and Siamese - and they're amazing. They think they are dogs, do as they are told, are very affectionate, chat to you (and keep on until you talk back), and have almost human eyes. They look at you as if they can read your mind. I found them really mesmerising. At 400 euros each, I doubt I'll be getting one soon. DH was taken with them, so, you never know.
Anyway, the WM is on, as is the BM; I need to sweep and wash the kitchen floor, and prep for dinner, which will be chicken pieces cooked in a Creme Fraiche sauce. Ever since a friend, who is a chef here, cooked for us using Creme Fraiche, I've used it at least twice a week, with various meats and spices. It's such a simple way of making a sauce and cuts out all the worry about it being lumpy.
Anyway, I'e mioliered enough - will try and keep up with you all a bit more.
Hope you all have a great day.

Morning all, hope everyone is Ok.Its very very wet here, just had to dry me and the dog off with towels. It was a very quick walk! He's not that fond of rain.Unfortunately both DSs are off to watch the Oasis concert in Heaton Park,Manchester later with lots of friends,so hope it dries up a bit.I think they had visions of basking in sunlight so its disappointing for them but theyve got the waterproofs out.
Just getting the last few things ready for our trip to France,we're off in the morning,so this may be my last post for a few days.Mioliere ,you have just confirmed what the French weather forecast online said.Got to admit i had visions of basking in sunshine too :eek:It looks like it gets better later in the week, hope so.
Diva-:hello: so sorry about your puter-dratted things but we wouldnt be without them now.I'm another who would like Sybils link please.
Jackie- glad your consultant is pleased ,hope the results are good.
Teresita-ouch,that blister sounds awful.
Will have to dig in the freezer for tea for a hm 'ready meal'-only me and DH tonight.I am going to 'fly' round the house once the lads have gone out-its probably a waste of time as I'm sure it will look much worse by the time we get back,I may have a precautionary nag before we go away
Right, better get cracking so will love you and leave you.Take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning peeps
the weather is horrible here, i waited as long as i could before taking the houndies out as i was hoping that the rain would slow down a bit but we got a right old soaking. We`ve been back a while now so both monsters are sleeping after a good towelling off. The cat refuses to go out and i don`t blame her.
My potatoes are falling over with the weight of the rain as they have a lot of greenery now and the experimental tomato in a bottle is looking really sorry for itself, hope that i don`t lose it as it was doing really well.
Wo*k later so i need to get a move on, tea tonight is sausage & mash with carrots onions and peas and broccolli from the gardeni`m also going to make some tuna fishcakes for tomorrow a we are having wedges and peas with those.
DH is shopping after w*rk tonight so i need to make a list and put out the Morrisons coupon for him too.
Haribo - Hope that your cough gets better soon.
Tired mum - Sorry to hear about the job, as someone has already posted i`m sure that there is the right one out there waiting for you.
Teresita - LOL at the pole dancing.
Mioliere - good to hear from you, those cats sound amazing!
Anniestar - Lovely to see you posting, you have been missed.
((((HUGS)))) for everyone today, i think we could all do with one given the weather atm.
Catch you all later peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Morning all it's pouring down here today so no outside work although the garden is grateful for the rain I'm sure. I'm late on here as I've been generally faffing around this morning and am not even dressed
Oh well it's a nice change :rotfl:
I'm doing a collection with the Lions this afternoon in place of DH as he's working. Hope that we're undercover  Dinner this evening is pizza, chips & garlic bread - the children are vv excited at such a junky treat!
No other plans really today so I'll say have a good weekend and sending love to those that need it at the moment xxx0
