My hubby likes the old films too. Especially Kirk.I prefer Picard he had more class about him. Wasn't he a Shakespearean actor. Not that i am a star trek fan.
Did you speak to Patrick Stewart, he is usually very good with his fans as far as i can tell.My hubby will be envious now.

Also meant to say hubby hated the new film.

  • We was actually just going in the Lush shop when my wife spotted him going the other way ..and said OMG ITS PATRICK LOL ....shes a big fan of him so i ran off towards him did a full circle and went back to the shop to report lol......the girl in the shop said ooooo did you see him ....we had Paul Daniels in the other week lol ...no comparison there then ! Yes he is a trained Shakey actor ...but far better as Captain of the Enterprise ....
Macclesfield n Congy look ok for me as im an old gimmer at 47 and love parks ..but cant see my morky son liking it ...though might head to Jodrell Bank (for me really!)

Very true. So sad as we have lost so many shops. Very sad that Woolworths is still empty. On the plus i think it is the first time in years that the Woolworths sign has had all the letters lit up. LOL
Makes me realise that there just isn't alot to do in these areas. My two daughters like going to the cinema at Didsbury or The Trafford Centre.

Yes it's definitely sad the state Macclesfield town centre is getting into (mind you we've got out fair share of empty shops in Congleton, but at least Woolies is occupied!), and quite depressing at how poor the 'shopping experience' is getting there.

LL, if you're thinking of walking somewhere, how about Congleton Cloud.

You can park about 3/4 of the way up, and it's not a hard walk, plus on a nice day the views are excellent. Appreciate though your son may not think it's the best idea ever, so just blame me ;)

If you're a National Trust member, both Little Moreton Hall and Biddulph Grange Gardens could be places to think of for the future.

You should have asked for his autograph you would have been in your wife's good books forever.
Haven't been to Jodrell bank since my 2 girls were younger about 8 years ago now. I am also an oldie 41 nearly. My two girls are 20 and 22.It wasn't as good as we expected it to be unfortunately.
Hope you have a good time what ever you decide to do.
