My son and Daughter have recently moved to Congleton and i will be visiting them a week Saturday.Ive been looking around the net as to what to do to fill about 5 hours in from 10am-3pm.
My daughter is 14 and my son who tbh is like a lot of teenagers is totally not interested in anything at all so it will be a long 5 hours !
Does anyone know of any websites i can look at to help me,been on google and not got much...any help appreciated.

Hi there,
Ermmmm, not really a terrible amount to do in Congleton as a visitor, aside from suggesting going to sit in a cafe, the one in the park is quite nice, but relatively expensive (Pavilion Bar & Grill). Can sit outside next to the river for lunch if it's nice.
Wouldn't recommend Congleton for shopping, and neither is Macclesfield much better.
How about going for a walk? Lots of nice countryside around Congleton, and of course the Peak District is nearby.
As for websites, try visitcheshire.com and visitstoke.co.uk for some ideas. What are your son & daugher into?0 -
Maybe take them bowling

Macclesfield has a much bigger shopping area than congleton.
Like Peter2006 says it depends what they are into. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile0 -
Perhaps take them down to Waterworld in Stoke which is only 20 minutes away0

Though it seems to be rapidly decreasing!! Yeah forgot about the bowling at Macclesfield, good call. There's also bowling at Festival Park in Stoke too.
Very true. So sad as we have lost so many shops. Very sad that Woolworths is still empty. On the plus i think it is the first time in years that the Woolworths sign has had all the letters lit up. LOL
Makes me realise that there just isn't alot to do in these areas. My two daughters like going to the cinema at Didsbury or The Trafford Centre. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile0 -
Hi everyone and thanks for giving me a couple of ideas,my son tbh as ive said is your typical teenager ...brain dead ! sorry but thats how i portray him...just isnt interested in anything and my girl is a very quiet person who just goes with the flow ! Thanks for the suggestions ...the bowling is a possability but i have a 3-1/2 year old Autistic son with us who struggles with new places so that might be out . Looks like a walkie roundy a town centre or a park tbh ....deep joy on the town shopping!0
