    The two previous visits to the states we didn't have navi but the last time we did and the benefits of it were great. Ours has the option of "finding" stores/attractions/restaurants so where ever you are you can find places just to go to.
    Driving is easier and straight forward but I would definately take it again as it just made things easier.

    If I was you I'd be tempted to get a cheap tomtom one on ebay and google getting the maps.
