Seriously has ever a sane person taken the Labour party seriously? They cannot run a country period only run it down, i am 45 and still remember the TV's being switched off at 10.30pm. The winter of discontent with bodies piling up, litter strewn streets. Harold Wilson i still believe was a Russian Commie spy, he should have been shot, and i went to the same secondary school has him. We need more people like Lord Mountbatten and others who were prepared to launch a military coup in this country to get rid of the Labour Commies. I wish they had. (Check your history) Labour cannot rule a country full stop. I hate them with a passion cause they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT RUIN COUNTRIES.
I am no conservative but when i was a young lad i did not dare commit a crime, Detention Centre and Borstal put me straight off a life of crime, i had a perfect upbringing for it. now i feel i would not be averse to do some type of crime as there is no deterrent whatsoever! I work my butt off but i am sick of getting ripped off by my own so called government.

Suralan is an ex-businessman who lives off his property portfolio and has the common touch. Now he'll be a Lord as well. Is this the 21st Century or the 19th? Is this the constitutional renewal Gordon claims to want?

If Suralan was a successful businessman, he'd be running businesses. Gordo just wants his stardust support.

Can our PM no longer tell the difference between reality and reality TV?

Hmmm... me thinks that you don't entirely understand how the "rich person" mentality works... :D

Trust me, more often than not the richer someone is, the more they're out for whatever they can get. Often that's why they're rich of course!

You only have to look at the personal of wealth of some of the MPs involved in the expenses debacle to know that's the truth.

Brown gives Sugar a job -- one arrogant bully hires another. Talk about birds of a feather.
No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

Mr Sugar has had his first thoughts.

He believes we need to reinflate the economy.

Dunno what he means by this, more credit I would assume. Or more QE. Now we know why Brown said "your hired"

Come on Graham, try to keep up! Mr Sugar has a load of properties in his name so of course he will say 'reinflate the economy' because he doesn't want any of his properties to be worth £2.50 in the future.

With him in office it'll be like the blind leading the blind. You think it's bad now? Just wait....

I just don't rate the guy, sure he has made a bob or two, but as someone has already said he is more interested making something look good than actually be good. I remember back in the day (20-25 years ago) his Amstrad stuff was utter crap, anyone who knew anything about quality wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Although funny sometimes on The Apprentice I find him obnoxious, abrasive and pretty rude, not the sort of person I'd want to do business with if I was in a position to do so. And that 5 live interview that I was alluding to, showed him has having few qualities of any kind.

Personally I'd bring in Simon Cowell as cabinet enforcer, I think they could all benefit from a bit of Cowell's brand of shrewd and cogent criticism.

Or how about Jordan, to add to the female window dressing team?

Doesn't she have some sort of political aspiration? :D
  • I seriously thought it was some sort of joke when I first heard this news. Am now considering placing bets on Terry Wogan, Ant and Dec and Piers Morgan being in Cabinet by August........and Fiona Phillips for some equality between the sexes since she isn't up to much these days.......heck why not chuck Kirsty Alsopp in aswell? I'm sure she can get the housing market back on its feet again!

Although Suralan, Jeremy & Gordon share similar views on women in the workplace, in contrast to official Labour policy and Harriet Harman's proposals:

    Independent

"....We have maternity laws where people are entitled to have too much. Everything has gone too far."

Last year [Suralan] added that as an employer he would like to be able to ask women at interviews: "Are you planning to get married and have any children?" adding that one way out would be: "Just don't employ them...."
