The man is one of the most distasteful human beings I've ever seen on television. This will alienate many decent people – because if there's one thing he isn't, is decent. The last thing the country needs – along with Clown and the rest of the labour 'government'.

Publicity stunts will not save them – hopefully this will further hasten their departure.

Will this go down as the final spin over substance stunt in what passes for Governance by the failed administration?
    I think....

I think I have to agree with those against his appointment on the basis that he's a successful businessman / TV star. I mean who's next, Richard Branson? Yes, people like him should be used as role models for disillusioned youth to follow in a bid to try to improve the social problems, however that's no real reason for him to be appointment into government. On a positive note though, he's rich enough not to want to make outrageous expense claims!

Hmmm... me thinks that you don't entirely understand how the "rich person" mentality works... :D

Trust me, more often than not the richer someone is, the more they're out for whatever they can get. Often that's why they're rich of course!

Or Kirstie Allsop as advisor to the Conservative shadow housing minister. :D

Nah, you're right, that one's way too far fetched! :rotfl:

Sugar is a nothing. Anyone who takes enjoyment from a bunch of business-wannabees all desparately trying to be the one who calls him "Sir" most often has to be pretty sad.

I've long thought that suralen was basically a beardy !!!! & this backing of the unspeakably vile Brown proves it.

At uni, a mate bought an Amstrad "hi-fi". It was beyond dreadful. The speakers appeared to have both a woofer and tweeter, it turned out that 'tweeter' was stick-on plastic decoration.

We all remember Sugar's comment that his business model was to sell a "mugs' eyeful". Sounds exactly like the spin of NuLabour!

If I had had said Alan Sugar would be on the government this year a month ago, people would have laughed at me so hard, and probably said even labour wouldnt go that far. I know I would have. I didnt think even Brown was this phucked up.

    Nothing will surprise me now!

Mr Sugar has had his first thoughts.

He believes we need to reinflate the economy.

Dunno what he means by this, more credit I would assume. Or more QE. Now we know why Brown said "your hired"
