 Jeez, I didn't know you could take your parents to court to subsidise you through your university degree! I *shock horror* got a job and used student loans which I pay back myself when I'm earning! :rolleyes:August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

Not *any* parent just the non resident one:rolleyes:, oh well if my husband decides that uni is a waste of money then when my children want to go there I will just leave him so they can take him to court for the funds instead:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I didn't know I could take my non resident parent to court for it lol
I even came back from uni in the holidays and ... wait for it .... paid my Mum housekeeping money!!!
Heaven forbid an 18 year old ADULT actually being responsible for themselves.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

Dancing Shoes. I rang for free advice from a solicitor who told me to answer the solicitors letter I received from my son, which I did. I also sent my son a personal letter to contact me to discuss the whole sorry situation but he has so far refused to answer any texts or phone calls. He may be under instruction not to contact me? Who knows. But it's very frustrating when all I can do is wait for the next step.
I'm showing my lack of forum experience but does 'pm' mean to contact you personally, off this site? If so, I may well do that. Going home now but if you reply I will read it tomorrow. Cheers Dancing Shoes.0 -
PM stands for private message. If you click on the posters name at the top left hand corner of their post , then click "send private message to ... "August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

If your son does not have the courtesy to contact you regarding the situation then I would stop payments straight away. What did the solicitors letter say? (may want to send me a private message with the details rather than posting on the forum). Have you supplied your income and expenditure already?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
How do I get to read a reply to a 'PM' I have sent? Does it show up on the screen or will I have to click somewhere? Still a novice at this forum stuff.0

Provided you are logged in then scroll up to the top of this screen and in the line directly below where it mentions 'Forum Downtime' you will see 'Private Messages'.
Click on that and you will be able to read your private messages.
