Ok, I'll have a look at the info on the Utilities section too - thanks.
@Evee, there is a flat above and below and also one to each side. Um, I have no idea what an EPC is so I guess that means I haven't seen it!
Thanks,
Catxx Park Road, Aberdeen - gazumped over a measly £3k (hope it was worth it) - May.
xx Castle Terrace, Aberdeen - offer rejected - June. Went to closing but I was away with work and missed it.
Flat actually sold for £5k less than I had offered - suckers!0 -
The problem with storage heaters is that you need to know the weather forecast at least 24 hours in advance. If it's going to be cold on say Saturday, you need to turn the heater on so that it charges up on Friday evening.
We have them in the cottage as there is no gas here (the main house is oil heated). We used economy 7 as another poster as mentioned and over the last year, we spent about £200 on heating, although the place was only occupied for about half the year, and I know that there was some addtitional heating used during the daytime. That is with Scottish Power, who at the time, were the best value for Economy 7 for our usage pattern.0 -

Sorry Cat - EPC = energy performance certificate or energy assessment. Should be in the 'single survey'?0 -
Ah yes, I did know what that was after all! It has an EPC of 270 kWh/m2 and is 60 sq. m. Google tells me it'll be about £1000 per year for electricity roughly...xx Park Road, Aberdeen - gazumped over a measly £3k (hope it was worth it) - May.
