Hi Psychofly,
Thanks for getting back so quickly, it did not start normally went into safe mode. Screen goes a grey colour then goes balck with safe mode in the four corners, then onto blue screen with sign on Adminstrator, etc when I click onto adminstrator it states loading personal settings the a pop screen appears Windows in running in safe mode .... with 2 boxes at the bottom .. to proceed in safe mode click yes if you prefer to use System Restore to restore computer to previous state click no have treid both but still cannot start normally
The no box when clicked states system restore has been disabled by group policy contact domain administrator (do not understand this)

Are you sure it's in safemode? and not just had a graphic driver crash?
Have you tried right clicking on the desktop selecting properties and changing the display resolution?
17inch 1024x768
19inch 1280x1024
Wide screen is somewhat down to personal choice but as a guide.
22inch wide screen 1680x1050“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Click on "View" and "show hidden devices", see if there are any more.
But those listed are minor things, if you right click on them and uninstall them, when Windows restarts it will try to install the correct drivers automatically.
Try this:
Bring up the task manager (ctrl+alt+del)
Select file > new task (Run) and type in "msconfig"
Check normal mode under general tab and hit OK. Restart the PC.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

No task manager? O_o
Does the start menu work? can you do "msconfig" in the run command from there?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
