At the moment (sorry don't know expiry date) if you send anything via special delivery at the post office they give you a leaflet with a text comp where you have to text the reference number of the delivery. The prizes are a whole load of things such as cash, holidays and goody bags. The text cost me 10p to send but it might be different on other networks.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

I got my own postcard back in the post for this the other morning....doh!
I always use sticky labels, and print the send address very large on 6 to a page labels, and use smaller labels - 14 to a page with correspondingly small font for my name and address.
When doing entries with more printing on, I'll use the large labels but with smaller fonts.
Seems to work OK so far. Fingers crossed.

Does works OK refer to 'winning' or not getting your postcards returned?
I ask this because of the rise in "pay to comp set ups" where you 'foolishly' pay a fee to companys to send comps on your behalf causing more & more promotors to include a 'bulk or third party entries will be diqualified' claus in their t&c's. And labels can be looked at as professional entries,,,,,,,,,0 -
They'd have to be careful with that though so as not to fall foul of disability discrimination wouldn't they as people who couldn't write would have to use printed addresses etc. instead? Though I'm not sure how you'd be able to tell the difference between than and professional entries?0

Oh I don't think that would come into it, it's their rules, and your choice whether you enter or not.
It's quite usual to see " write your name/address etc" on entry instructions.0 -
Saw this in the June issue of Somerfield magazine:
'Win a great prize by creating the cake that everyone will be enjoying at Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!
This year, we are asking Somerfield magazine readers to come up with the ultimate cake to serve at a coffee morning. If your cake is judged to be the best, then you will win a fantastic Magimix Cuisine Systeme 5200 food processor – so you’ll be able to take your already indisputable culinary skills to new heights!
We would like you to share with us your favourite cake recipe. It could be a recipe that’s been passed down from generation to generation or a brand new creation that you’ve just devised.
The winning entry will be a large and generous cake serving at least eight, or a recipe for plenty of individual cakes. It should be based on typical storecupboard home-bake ingredients that are readily available to the home cook, and should be easy to serve at a coffee morning. It goes without saying that it should be easy to make, appetising and delicious. People will need to be able to make the cake in advance of the event without special storage, and it must remain fresh to eat on the day.
To enter, send your recipe by 30 July 2007 to:

'Win a weekend in beautiful Jerez, Andalucia – the home of Croft!
Croft is giving one lucky reader and their partner the chance to win a fantastic weekend break to Jerez – the home of Croft sherry. (…) In Jerez, you can wander down the old town’s orange-tree-lined streets, relax in the elegant palm-fringed squares and enjoy authentic tapas and sherry in one of the many great bars. As part of the prize you’ll also have a free tour of the Croft bodega – almost a small town in its own right and the place where Croft is produced. The Croft cellars are the oldest in Jerez; vines cover the cobbled alleys; barrels date back centuries and the unique sherry production process is revealed.
To enter, explain in no more than 30 words about your Croft spot and answer this question:
In what region of Spain is Jerez?
a. Andalucia
b. Catalonia
c. Costa Brava
You could win one of the following prizes:
1. A weekend for two in Jerez, with flights, accommodation and a tour of the Croft bodega.
2. £250 of National Garden gift vouchers, redeemable at around 2,000 garden centres, shops and nurseries nationwide.
