I would have thought Kelkoo was a good first port of call for anything like this?

It is, if you want to choose from a selection of retailers who PAY to have their results included.

Maybe theses are some of the same companies who bought stock from bankrupt retailers at 10p in the pound and can afford to PAY to have their results included and still be cheaper than everyone else.

Its the same product wherever you buy it from what do I care what they spend on marketing - its the final price that interests me.;)

Yeah that was the reason I went with amazon in the first place. Thanks for the recommendations guys, went with Dixons in the end. It's not gonna arrive until Wednesday but I've got revision to do this weekend anywway so not having a tv is probably a good thing. It was the same price as Amazon but found a 5% voucher which saved me £30 so it's all good.

    OT I know, but. . . what's a Mad OLD Tory doing. . . doing revision?????

    ;)

Well if you don't need it, get the stand that Amazon delivered listed on eBay - the one that came with our TV recently was worth around £100
