tmobile damaged credit rating

my girlfriend recently took out a contract with tmobile, she paid the account when the first bill came through after a few weeks. next month she never recieved the bill and the first thing she knew about it was when the bank got intouch saying there was not enough funds in the bank to pay a direct debit. the direct debit was from tmobile but she never recieved a bill, thus not knowing it was due. she paid the account as soon as she found out but now applied for a credit card and been declined. she has rang tmobile and they say there is nothing they can do about it, surely if they have not sent a bill and she has paid it in full as soon as she found out then they can do something about the late payment which has gone against her name???? any help would be much appreciated

Did T actually not send a bill or did it get lost in the post ? If the PO lost it T wouldn't know that...0

unfortunately not paying a bill just 'cos it didn't arrive isn't the basis of a claim for not paying it. She should have expected the bill and queried if it did not arrive.
it's unlikely that it has affected the credit rating if it was just one late-paid bill.

I worry about how such daft people are able to get binding contracts.0

And more so the "stupidity" networks have in handing out contracts to ANYONE !
Its so easy to lie to obtain credit in this country, mobile networks through revenue greed are the worst !SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Did she ask the credit card company why she had been declined? What is her credit file like otherwise?
I recently had problems with Three due to the direct debit becoming dormant thanks to a huge credit they gave me last year plus a large monthly loyalty discount - the credit has just run out and they tried to take the direct debit last month but it was rejected as my bank had thought it was dormant and cancelled it! It's all sorted now, but I may have a mark on my credit record due to a missed payment, however that didn't stop me getting accepted for a new credit card last week ( after the payment had been missed but before I was aware of it? ), so I wonder if there are other reasons why she was refused credit?0
