Study this graph.
This is what the life cycle of a speculative bubble looks like. We are currently experiencing the 'bull-trap'. A short-lived recovery in house prices is exactly what one would expect. Look what happens next, though!
New here are youThis graph has been discussed to death over the past week, I have to say though it is a good analysis of the grieving process, not sure what it has to do with house prices.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Walter posts every now and again, very bearish and desperate for house prices to crash 50% - he has recently been made bankrupt so I guess he don't want any equity in the proprty, in case he loses the house.0 -
- you will begin to see what the bears are banging on about. Houses generally are not selling and are dropping in price.
Mewbie, houses are selling very quickly in Felixstowe at the moment, the only ones dragging their heels are the repo's as they have to be on the market for 6 weeks.

Which is fine I suppose because if prices drop again, you may well disappear. One of the problems with forum debates, you know that you will never be pulled up for your predictions.
if you really believe in the picture what is your view on this?

I'm sure he's aware that base rates can go up.
And so will the prices of houses, sooner than you think.
Houses are selling and the bears are going through their denial stage (cant believe that houses are moving again) they are not to far from desparation that the falls that they bigged up on here aint going to happen. Next they will be in the despair phase when they realised they have missed the boat again and will be rnning to Pickles for one of his quality renters.0 -
You know Chucky, most people would post a link to someone else to back up their statements. Doesn't really add much if you just re-quote yourself really.0
