WARNING: Steer clear of Dolphin Bathrooms!

I worked for dolphin bathrooms a few years ago, what a mistake. I am a self employed kitchen and bathroom fitter, and had to attend their two day training seminar.
This consisted of a review of their products, and a two hour tiling test, and that's it.
The first job in hove progressed reasonably well with a few delays in their delivery, but on completion of the job their installation manager couldn't make it to sign the job off.
The next job had already been detailed, over 100miles away, as a new contractor i let it go and continued to start the following week, the company sent one of its northern managers to sign the job off, which he did, i was then informed that i would nt be paid for a month to ensure there were no teething problems with the first job, which of course rattled me because i had paid out for all the materials excluding the shower bath and toilet.
At this point i told them that if no money was forthcoming i would pull out of the current fit, which they refused to do. So unfortunately i had no choice as i had completely run out of funds. I connected all the customers appliances so a working bathroom was there and informed them i would not be returning. For which the were cross but understanding.
It took another six months to receive any money from them.
I would say from a fitters point of view do NOT i repeat Not have this company cross your doorstep. We as fitters have to make a living too and this company almost sent me over the top And as far as their company is concerned they have no customer service quality at all.0 -
I ordered a bathroom from Dolphin and then cancelled.
That was early December. They said they would credit the £2600 deposit on my credit card account, but instead debited my card again !
After much chasing they credited one of the debits, but they still owe me £2600. I have chased several times. This is a nightmare.
They are sharks. Do not deal with them just because Homebase host them.
