Has the MSE webmaster every considered implementing Vbulletin "Forum Visibility Edit Mode" code hack?
"Ever use large boards with a huge number of subforums? Ever couldn't find your info? Wanted to run away from that huge load of threads? This hack is intended to save your users from such experience. It provides them with an opportunity to exclude any number of forums from the forums list (as well as from "get new"/"get daily" searches), while letting them search within those forums without the need for un-hiding."
I belong to another big forum that uses it and it's very useful.
The author has ported it to Vbulletin 3.5 too.
