I sent the template letter to MBNA asking for details of my PPI payments I received acnowledgement letter from them stating that they were looking into it and I would receive a reply within 40 days and they cashed my £1 cheque the 40 days has now expired with no reply, could anyone suggest the best course of action for me to take now

Hi There I would send them another letter and give them another week to reply. You could also state that you would take the matter to the FOS if they do not respond.

Make sure you send by recorded delivery. Good Luck

    Hi Dixxy

Was this request for a copy of the CCA (agreement)?
With the payment you made they should have supplied this by 12 days.

For a full SAR (Subject access Request), that one is that of 40 days and a cost of £10 cheque or postal order payment.

So realistically they should have sent you the CCA way by now also.

Did you post by recorded delivery to ensure this was received to the dept?

    Hi there,

I would write them another letter outlining what you have paid them and why, explaining you have been waiting for 40+days now and that you would appreciate it if they could treat this as a priority.

    ;)

or alternatively drop them a call and make sure you word things carefully incase its being recorded ;)
