Hello all,
Have been reading this thread and wanted to post to let those
here that don't know that there is a huge problem with Nvidia
graphics chips.
This problem is so big we have started a forum at w w w.nvidiadefect. com
If you have purchased a laptop containing one of these defective chips then do not pay for a repair, you have rights.
If you take a look at the above site there is a wealth of information including a "letter before action"
All the information regarding this problem is available.
You should print some of it out to take to the retailer if you are having
problems getting a resolution.
Why not name and shame the retailers if they are failing to play ball!
Thank you for reading.
Paul

As promised, I thought I would let you know the outcome.
As HP did not respond to any correspondence from me, I had to take it to the Small Claims Court. HP originally defended the claim, but 2 weeks before the court date offered me a brand new replacement (with 12 months warranty) - as a goodwill gesture and refunded all my costs
Don't give up on your claim - HP should not get away with selling products that are not up to the job.0
