I dont want a bundled package!!!

Virgin obviously have no interest in customers who dont want their bundled packages. Have tried haggling as advised but they totally ignored this so, furious, I am disconnectiong. Any advice on reliable alternatives? (I have a BT line which I need to keep)

bundles always work out cheaper than buying each item separately. So why you wouldnt want to take them up on one, is rather strange

If its cheaper for you to get your services elsewhere, then it makes sense to disconnect, but just changing provider because Virgin wont lower their price, is barmy

Bundles are usually crap. Or at least they are for me and I laugh at Virgin's prices. At BT's also to be fair. It's like going into Argos to buy a toaster and being forced to take a wardrobe and lawn mower.

If you don't want bundles see what you can get by searching your local exchange https://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

There's no shortage of single service suppliers if your have an exchange with lots of competition. Incidentally I must admit to having a 'bundle'. Don't write off every bundle as O2, Sky, Vodafone, Orange and a few others do have some good deals -if they have something you need.

If you post your options people will be able to adivse further.

If enough punters took this stance I have a feeling things might change, so long as the provider knows your reason for disconnecting.
Not everyone wants or needs a bundle.

As no-one has answered your question:

Try plus net, https://www.plus.net, the value package.

No frills up to 8meg, 10gb usage, 5.99pm for 3 months, then 11.99 if you are lucky or 19.99 if you aren't (a bit of postcode lottery, don't worry, it'll tell you if it is 19.99).

Am in the process of switching over from Orange.... as many are I suspect.

    BT line required, 18month contract.

Almost. Plusnet value is £5.99 for 3 months then after 3 months it stays at £5.99 a month if you are on a market 3 exchange (OP probably is) or £11.99 otherwise. The £19.99 is the unlimited package (which is not unlimited) or PlusNet Pro. Sign up via Quidco for cashback too.

the problem here is the OP hasnt stated what they want as a standalone package. Is it phone, tv or broadband?

maybe if they came back and updated once in while, someone might be able to offer a decent suggestion

Well, as the OP posted under the "Internet Access" part of the forum, most would assume broadband....
