How's the allotment coming along? I'm so jealous. I applied for one ages ago but the wait list is a mile long:cool:

We're hoping to go to Aus in the next couple of years to check it out with a view to emigrating before Nathan starts school

Allotment is a working progress...I cleared most of the site once, put shed up then started digging the beds and got in potatoes, runner beans, beetroot and peas...in that time it warmed up and everything grew...weeds, huge poppies galore and it looks like a jungle in parts again. I have spent hour upon hour down there and I LOVE it but it is a big commitment on your time. I also had to wait 2 years on a waiting list but its my escape and I can go down in the evening and chill there....im like an old man in my shed! :rotfl:

Am looking forward to Maz coming down and getting the kids to do some digging while me and maz put the chairs up and have a glass of vino :D

Inserts very very jealous smilie. I just like the fact that its very much an outdoor lifestyle which suits me :) I hate being stuck inside in the pouring rain and cold for months on end.
Where in Auss do you think you might go?

sounds like a plan, but we'd need to be sure it was clear what's a weed and what's not!!! you'll end up with a bald allotment!!

My FIL is making a veggie patch in his back garden but I don't think I'll get much chance to go and help out as I don't drive:cool: When we eventually get a house we'll definitely be having a veg patch!

    Morning all!

30 mins on the cross trainer for me first thing and feel so much better for it. I am going to be doing 'Biggest Loser' style training now until Canada-at least 1x a day, if not 2-I stood on scales and confirmed my suspicions-1/2 stone on-ARGH!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY IA!

Hope everyone is ok today, and good luck Sammy xxxxxx

could be quite amusing! I am hoping that the raspberry canes that were already there might produce some fruits so they can pick it and sure there will be an abundance of other things to pick too!
