Can I cancel my 3 contract?

I have 2 seperate contracts with 3 for my mobile phone and broadband and I have had problems with both. I am getting to the stage now where I would really like to know where I stand on cancelling my contract. Here is the problems I have had.

Mobile - In November last year I was due an upgrade so went to my local 3 store and chose a Sony Ericsson K660i. The lady in the shop told me the camera had a zoom function which I wanted at the time but it doesnt, however this was not a big issue for me so I kept with it. In the last 6 months of having the new phone it has on many occasions just turned itself off on its own for no reason and on one occasion did it whilst I was in the middle of a phone call . To add insult to injury the cover over the screen fell off and as it was clearly only stuck on in the first place I could see why. Because the screen cover kept falling off some of the keys came loose and when the cover was replaced they started to stick . I took the phone back to the 3 store last week and was told they would send it off for repair. I got a letter through in the post this morning to say the problems were most likely caused by dropping or crushing the phone so it was not covered by the warranty. Now this has really wound me up as I have done neither and the phone only ever stays in my pocket or handbag. All I want is a phone that works properly which I am obviously not going to get from them which is why I would like to know where I stand on cancelling the contract early.

Broadband - Around this time last year I had a call on my mobile from 3 customer services offering me a broadband dongle for half price at £7.50 a month. At the time I was having real trouble with broadband at home so I decided it was worth the investment. The chap on the phone typed in my postcode and said the signal should be fine where I live. When I received it I could not get a signal anywhere in the bungalow so could not connect to the net. I also tried it at my parents house who live within the area shaded as the best signal on the 3 website and it also does not work there . I was told by a lady in my local 3 store that they would not do anything about it because of a signal problem so I am now paying out every month for something that is useless to me.

Can anyone advise me on where I stand on cancelling both contracts?

Many thanks

Ordinarily not good, however Three have dropped their Three like home service so you can probably use that for jsutification to cancel the phone. I won't go on, it's on other thread here See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1652273

That said you need to do it ASAP as if you continue to use the phone you'll have deemed to accept this change and be bound to the end of your minimum term (be that 12, 18 or 24 months).

Broadband dongle your less likely to get any joy. You've had it a year and never complained so it would be hard to see why Three should give you any leeway. If you complained as soo as you got it maybe but not a year into the contract. You will probably be stuck with that till the minimum term.

However it is worth calling them and trying to cacnel them both on the loss of Three like home, you may get some joy but be prepaired for a hard sell.
