    It's not daft at all. The evaluation is not the finished product. There will still be bugs and problems found. What they don't want happening is something breaking and then when you upgrade to the final version the problem is left behind and then you go around telling everyone that Windows 7 is crap.

    It wont be far off now given the date it will be released unless it gets moved on.

    I downloaded beta 7100 last week 64bit version and I think there is another version now. I was pleased that I didnt need any additional drivers all hardware worked fine of course you can always get newer drivers

    Compared with a better spec pc my daughter got it runs better than hers with Vista 64, she has 2.83ghz dual core with 4gb of ram. I have a dual core 2.13ghz with 2 gb
