Baines and Ernst are a useful way of getting a DRO through without having to wait in a long queue.
NDL are currently peaking a 6 weeks for an appointment with an intermediary!!

I just didn't realise that they had moved on from the standard dmp arrangement side of things! I agree - sooner it starts then sooner it is over with! Best of luck with it.

Don, it's quite a cunning wheeze actually. Get all your proper advice from the CAB/CCCS/NDL and then when you are ready, go through B&E as they have no waiting list :D. Wonder if they would recomend a DRO if you hadn't taken the advice from some one else in the first place, or am I just cynical

Well to be honest, my only dealings with Baines and Ernst where when they had not long started off doing dmp's for people and they would write to where I used to work with financial stmt's etc - but it was a bit of a nightmare back then having to deal with them. Hopefully they are much better now though. I doubt if you haven't already taken advice regarding DRO whether they would recommend one, there's money to be made from dmp's after all. see, I am cynical too! :o

if i understand it correctly they get the 90 quid for each DRO, for doing not a lot to be honest, i have a feeling they may not spend as much time on them as the debt charities do, plus as has been said they may convert a DRO to something more profitable on the odd ocasion, but either way they make money;)

I must admit I would never usually touch them with a 100ft barge pole and was extremely shocked when I heard they were signed up my first thought was I wonder how many would be suitable and them not tell about it.

But love this wheeze as they don't get anything for it :D

As far as I know, the intermediaries only recieve £10 from the original £90
