Thank you all for the tips!
Just got off the phone to orange and amazingly spoke to a very helpful man!
They have reduced my dolphin 35 tariff (35 pound) to 15 pound line rental, also taken off the £1.50 itemised billing and £5.00 a month for the internet that i never use!!!
    So far so good!!!!:j
Next question is, if i call on the 22nd of october for the PAC number will they give it me over the phone or will they make me wait and post it? how will that work on the time limit i have to get it to o2 for my iphone?
    have a good evening

If I remember correctly, they text you the PAC number a little while after you phone to request it. As long as you get it to O2 within 30 days of requesting it, they should manage the number port for you.

I'm pretty sure that your new deal with Orange won't have committed you to a longer contract - the 'Best Plan' terms and conditions state that "Customers who are still within their contract term will only be reviewed against talk plans of the same contract length" - the T&Cs only state that you'd have to sign up for a new contract if your old one had expired. However, it would probably be a good idea to give them a call to confirm that this is the case (within 7 days to stay within Orange's cooling off period).

  • Great news about the PAC number being text to me , i now plan to call orange 22nd of october and once i've received my PAC get my skinny butt straight to o2 to get my iphone. I also have taken you advice and called orange to confirm they didn't extend my contract which they haven't......which is even better news......so i'm wishing a few months away in excitment of banishing orange from my life! least now that i'm on the lowest price plan they have, i don't have to worry about paying out tons of doshif i do chose to leave them earlier !!!!!
