Flyglobespan suprised by lovely flight

We were due to take a Monarch airlines flight from Birmingham to Paphos two sundays ago and there had been a short delay for our flight. We get onto the coach to take us to the plane and we park up next to a flyglobespan airplane. We were all just a little suprised and a bit apprehensive after hearing about this airliner on websites reviews and if I think I am right on the BBC's Watchdog. However once on board the aircraft I was so impressed by the comfy seats, the quiteness of the aircraft and the lovely Scottish cabin crew. The pilots were great in explaining why we were on their plane rather than the monarch plane and apologising that they did not know who would be flying us back next week. The cabin crew said they had flown down from Scotland earlier in the morning just to cover the flight to Paphos. The plane was bigger than needed for the number of passengers so we got to spread out which was lovely! Even the breakfast was nice. All in all it was a perfect flight and I am a very nervous flier! (just a pity the inflight movie 'Yes Man' was so terrible!) I would never have considered this airliner before but it was better than the monarch return flight.

It was a wet lease, doesn't follow that a scheduled flyglobespan flight will be similar, interesting experience though.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Nice to hear that they can get it right sometimes. They have been a very troubled airline, but do seem to be sorting things out, although they do have some way to go.
I'm sure the Globespan flight as better than the Monarch return, as you said it was a bigger plane and you could spread out Catering would probably been have supplied at Birmingham by Monarch's caterers. And I'm sure Globespan were happy to be operating the flight; would have earned them a tidy sum!
As I said, nice to know they get it right sometimes.0 -
Do you know what aircraft it was? I'm guessing a 767-300?0
