Are you feeling any better today? Apart from needing to burp that is, get one of the kids to rub your back, good practice!

I'm off to do a bit of housework or I'll never get around to doing it. Then I can stuff my face with jaffa cakes when tesco order comes :D

    GRRRR
Not had a good day at work yesterday heard one of our auxillarys !!!!!ing about me behind a curtain whilst she was bed bathing a patient!! She was complaining that I have not done any bedbaths for 5 months (since I have been pregnant). Now that much is true but I have been doing the medicine rounds in the morning, which she could not do anyway!! Just tried to ignore her all day but it was really playing on my mind all last night and could not get asleep. Asked some of the other girls what they thought today and they were reassuring me that it was normal to do lighter roles when pregnant and no-one thought I was being lazy. They all know I had some bleeding in the early weeks and were telling me that I was crazy to feel I should insist on doing bedbaths now just to prove a point to her. I am working on Monday with her and would love to have it out with her but don't know if I should just ignore it. What would you girlies do??
    Coming soon............

I would probably tell her that there's all sorts of rumours flying around because someone heard someone else b!tching about a third someone while they were bedbathing a patient, and how all the other someones think it's completely out of order. But you don't know who the three someones involved are, and does she? You could also add how unprofessional it is to b!tch about bedbathing while the patient can hear, because that makes the patient feel like a burden.

If her head didn't explode on the spot from all the someones, she'd probably be paranoid enough to keep her mouth shut for the next while.

I also wouldn't be bedbathing anyone while pregnant. Do something else instead, but don't strain yourself. The hospital I work in doesn't allow anyone who's pregnant to lift more than 10kg, which puts bedbathing right out.
