    Morning ladies.

Still feeling like a badger's bum this morning, not helped by being woken by my husband at the crack of badger's bum AGAIN. Cramps and backache all night and now one of my boobs is leaking everywhere.

I've been trying to make myself feel better looking at the Lovehoney sale online, but if I get the stuff delivered to my parents' house they'll only open it, and the thing I want is a bit ... extreme.

Today people are coming to buy/take free things from us. Also:

    call midwives
    do laundry
    vacuum carpet again
    rubbish out
get OH to do something with the living room boxes
find a home for these crates (these could be related...)
stack the CDs that are sitting on the desk

I'm torn. I want to keep the Bellyfrog cooking awhile longer. 34 weeks is a bit too early and we still don't have a nursery or a midwife.. But I'm in so much pain I want her to be out so it's over.

Ooh, first guy has been to buy things. German language books all sold. Someone else is taking any salvageable computer parts or peripherals and a third person is coming to exchange chocolate for proper tea bags (a luxury item here in Germany!).

Good luck SM. Chances are it'll all be ok by Monday. Hugs to anyone who wants one.

Aless - I told everyone I was pregnant (the first time anyway) at the end of a department meeting. Someone asked if there was anything else anyone had to say and i just blurted out "Well, if noone else has any news, I do - I'm pregnant!" ;)

lol, that's pretty much what I planned on doing! We always have an AOB section at the end, and so I definitely have an AOB this time! ;)

Sugar - I always keep meaning to ask out of curiosity...is it your OH's job that took you to Germany? Do you speak German or do you live in an English-speaking enclave or something. As an expat myself, I guess I'm always interested in other people's stories!! :rotfl:I had a nose at the LoveHoney sale, but I guess I'm not as motivated as usual to find something fun as right now given the pregnancy :p

It was my job! I was offered a contract here so I took it. I speak reasonable German, but I'm not fluent. Fortunately most of my work's done through English and I can converse in German for everyday stuff. My husband's fluent so he makes most of the phonecalls.

I'm considering buying interesting toys for post-pregnancy. At the moment I'm swollen and miserable in all regions so any fun and games is off the menu. I don't want this to become the overriding (heh) state of affairs here.

What about you? What's your expat story?

Sugar - ahhh, sorry! Your job, not his :). Mine's nothing interesting - came over here (I'm American) to go my Master's and kinda just never went home. In between all that, I met a pretty cool guy and got married, so yeah. :p

nice to see MM and pics of Dylan

Well, it didn't go well for OH, he was able to counter everything that they said with a positive answer and they even said to him 'But your just focusing on the positives' - like he's going to discuss any negatives!

Whilst he is very good at his job they want someone that's excellent so are bringing in a graduate who is less qualified and has no experience! (a Joke!!!) Jobs for the boys and means they can pay less wages!

Took OH out for lunch and he wasn't too down - he gets 3 months notice from his employer fully paid and doens't need to work! They will help him find something else and we have a few ideas up our sleeve!

If not I'll go back to work earlier and he can be a SAHD!!

    Quiet on here today!

  • Morning ladies - sounds like we need to send some loving round today.
SM- hope you get the pay thing sorted!
SS - hugs - hope you feel better soon!

Bejewelled is annoying - I can have a good game then a pants one! Thats what makes it more addictive!

Can't believe its only 11:30 ish - it feels like I've been up and about for ages. Already dropped OH car at garage and done the shopping. Needs to pop into town for cards later and a few other bits and pieces but it can wait until we pick the car up. The weather is also pants.
Hubby is in the kitchen making bacon butties :)
  • More positive vibes for Glam's OH. I hope your hubby find somehting better, the graduate makes a hash of things and your hubby can just stand back smiling and nodding in that I told you so way. :p

lolly - hope you little un hangs on a little longer - we'll be having no more queue jumpers here :naughty::rotfl:
