Hi all.. I'm at home at the mo.. Got a huge list of things I need to look for online whilst I have a quick connection and the pictures will actually load - diddy baby clothes and kitchen appliances, mainly!
My mum keeps trying to talk to me, particularly about breast feeding and expressing. Cos his feeds have gone up and my supply has gone down, there is now nothing left in the freezer so I've got to keep up the pace and I'm not sure I can do itDon't need my bloody mother asking me about it too!
When they take off his diddy sleepsuit and it's vomit/poo free, take it to your expressing place and snuggle into it as you express. I used a teddy with the boys, might have had their smell might have just been my imagination but it seemed to help. And do it as soon as you leave him, remember to massage your boobs first to help with the let down and don't feel bad if he has to get top ups of formula most of em do.0 -
I forgot to ask about the HiPG!!! :mad:0

I haven't spoken to anyone about it. We see the Neonatal nurses every day but I haven't seen the midwives who looked after me for over a week.. Don't really know who I'm supposed to see about it. One of my sister's old school friends (who had a baby a few months ago so we've talked a bit on FB) is a breastfeeding counsellor in training here so I think I'll msg her and ask where I should be going in the hospital to get advice. Thing is, I know the advice is to do it more and relax but I'm just stressing it might be too late to restart it which isn't helping either!
ETA: FB msg sentBtw, the reason I don't know who I'm supposed to see is because the breastfeeding class I was booked on was for when I was 33wks. This Saturday in fact.. hmm, wonder if I could still go..

elle don't you be worrying about something you don't know the answer too !!!
If you still have milk coming through, you should be able to increase your supply, though this is not from experience as I bottle fed Jasmine from the start, but good luck

If you still have milk, then you can increase the supply by expressing more, or feeding more if Rhys is able to latch on, which he might not be able to yet.
I've no experience of preemies, but when DD was born, I was very poorly afterwards. I fed her straight after the birth and maybe once more that night, then became very very poorly, and she wasn't even brought in to see me for a few days much less for me to feed her. On about day 5 or 6, I was feeling better and tried a feed, and she was able to get something out. She needed formula top ups for a few days but by the time I left hospital on day 10 she was fully breast fed and my supply was up to scratch, despite being severely anaemic and still quite unwell.
