I don’t post on here very often, although I do catch up as much as poss! Was waiting for a few more months before I get fully integrated!
I wanted some advice. I am 12 weeks and am due my first scan next Tuesday, all day yesterday I had strong cramps, I haven’t had this since early pregnancy, then last night I had the faintest spotting. Have been worrying myself sick!
I called my MW and she said I just have to sit and wait for anymore – she said it is likely to be implantation bleeding – although I would have thought I am too far for that?
Looks like I will have to wait for my scan next week – although I am worried sick!
I suppose what I wanted was to see if anyone else experienced this around the same time as me and have things worked out ok?
Thanks!
I had bleeding from my cervix all the way through with DS2. And the cramps could just be everything stretching. It's not always bad news no matter how scary it is. Sit and relax, don't do anything you don't have to do and we'll send you some nice *Sticky Bean Vibes*0 -

Hi Maybebaby,
Try not to worry about the bleeding. I think it is quite common to get spotting, even 12 weeks down the line. You can still get light bleeding around the time your period is due. My SIL is pregnant and has been bleeding and getting severe abdominal pains since she was 4 weeks. She is now 16 weeks, and it's still happening. She has had 5 scans, but baby is fine and they can't find anything wrong.
Obviously there is a chance that it could be something, but worrying about it won't help, it will only make you worse (although I know it's easy to say don't worry, but you naturally will!). Try to focus on the positive in that it does happen to a lot of people and keep your fingers crossed. x0 -
Afternoon all
Been manic as I go on mat leave this Friday and believe me when I say I can't wait :j Anyway I've been lurking and wanted to say:
Tigsteroonie & Fidget - Congrats both on joining team Blue
Jennynoo - I got the your baby week by week and find it quite good if that's any help?
Glam - Good to see you back
Also, don't know if I'm going to get a chance later so just in case:
MM - HUGE good luck vibes for you for tomorrow, I will be thinking of you
As for me all OK apart from the fact that I'm really suffering with the heat and the fact that I'm now the size of a whale
But on the positive side tomorrow night I'm off to see Take That, then I've got the final scan on Thursday to see if it's coming out the sunroof (might still be breach) and then it's just a waiting game.
I've already started a massive list of things I need to get done when my mat leave starts so hopefully I'll be able to get cracking on getting things crossed off.You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Thanks for the quick responses and putting my mind at ease! This motherhood lark is worrying and I am only 12 weeks in!Bump due 30th December 2009 :j0

I don't post often but when i do, I kill the thread! Must go back to lurking...
Meant to say good luck to MM for tomorrow xxx
Jam, keep posting! It's very difficult to keep up with everything so I have taken to scan reading at night, so apologies in advance for anything I miss!
I bet your bump will suddenly sprout. It's only in the last couple of weeks that mine has become really big. Depending on what I am wearing though, some people look surprised when I say I am pregnant, and other times people ask me when it's due and say I am massive.
Did you all see that the poor baby whose mother died from Swine Flu died? Such a shame for the partner/father.0 -

I've read every post since the 3rd Jan when I found out so I won't be going anywhere! lol Will post more now though I hope.
Got a few questions about the birth though but I don't want all my posts to be asking for help! I want a home birth with a birthing pool (any recommendations for/against/good brands) and want to try Hypnobirthing (the book with CD I think).
Anyone else looked at these options? My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
Don't know how to quote but I just saw Tia mention about the baby. It's so sad. My husbands neice lost hers the week before it was due in Feb this year so thats another reason I'm still being very cautious and can't get too caught up in things....must be practical though and think about the birth - in 13 weeks Arg!!My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0

Jam, some girls on here have just used nice sturdy paddling pools to save a bit of cash. That's about all I know, except that boots sell the birthing pools with the hose and pumps for filling/emptying.0
