    Morning ladies

Laptop has been playing up all weekend - the power pack is on it's way out, so I have ordered a new one, meant I only had limited time online. I have kinda kept up to date - so big hugs to beenie - hope he's gone now :)

Managed to get another load of bub's bits and pieces washed, but didn't manage to make a start on my shopping list of bits I need for hospital bag. My plan is to nip to primark at lunch, but that depends on the weather - atm it's too hot to leave the office, but they are threatening us with thunder storms this aft...

Bacon is under the grill for my breakfast. I need to clean the kitchen and do some putting away of clothes and some ironing. Then DS2 has his special needs assessment at 2pm and then it'll be time to collect DS1.

My bump was really hurting in the car, feels like it is falling off! Ligament pain I'm guessing.

    Hi ladies,

Hope things are ok for you Beenie x

Well DS is starting to get really clingy at school. He cried when I left him Thursday and Friday. Then today he said he had a tummy ache and was quite distressed when I left :(

He's been at that school almost 4 years and he's always been fine. I think it's because it's so close to the baby coming now - and he knows that I'm leaving him and then coming back home instead of going to work. There's another boy in his class whose mum is due 2 weeks after me and the teacher said he is the same. Has anyone had experience of this before? I'm not sure what to do. I'd gladly bring him home but I don't want him to think he can come home when he puts the tears on IYSWIM.

I've slept all the way through for the last few nights :j Athough a bit achy when I wake up in the morning.

DH put DS's new bed together yesterday, I cleared all the letters, leaflets and crap out of the kitchen over the weekend and now it's lovely and tidy! Everything is washed, I just want to get a box or basket or something to keep in the living room to keep the cotton wool, baby wipes, nappies etc in.

    HURRY UP BABY!!

    Good morning everyone

After a long weekend of up's and downs i am back at work and really dont want to be here.

Had thursday of for my best mates birthday and had a nice day of shopping and a long lunch. However friday morning i woke up about 4 am with a migraine from hell, it felt like i had been been of booze the night before !!! Which i feel was totally unfair as i ve not had drink in three months !!! So the whole of friday was spent in bed until oh came home from work and i wanted to do some cleaning and he banned me, but then also sat his bum down on the sofa and abouth half hour later said " This room could do with a hoover " and then " So what have u got planned for dinner" . On one hand i would swear he likes me being this tired as i only 14 weeks pregnant and am so tired as i sit down rather than racing about the whole time like i normally do, on the other hand it means he has to do things ! On a much brighter note i won a wii at a raffle at my local asda :T
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

Ahh Lou... take it easy I couldnt believe how tired and off my food I was was up until about 16/17 weeks then I perked up, but give yourself a rest.. My hubby just didnt understand why I was so tired I was in bed at 8 most nights and didnt eat anything.

My friend then got him the blokes guide to pregnancy which he has been reading whilst on the loo ha ha and I think the lightbulb has twigged and he finally now asks me if i need a hand with anything etc

    morning all!!

Beenie- how are you today? has the bar steward gone yet?

feel nice and rested after a good nights sleep. haveing some weird and starnge dreams lately though. events and things from years ago keep coming up in my dreams. very strange.

had nice evening yesterday. parents in law came for about and hour just after we finished tea. they only live 10 mins walk away but as we all work full time its nice to catch up.

kepp changing my mind bout what pram/pushcahir to get. have realised that we dont have masses of room to gt in our front door due to the layout so we may better of with a pushchair that can be used flat rather than a pushchair/carrycot option. has anyone used these before? (should i maybe ask this on parents thread?)
also...car seats can you use the seatbelt to secure carseat or does it have to fitted with a permanent base unit?

Yes you can use the seatbelt to fit the carseat. I had a travel system with DS and it was easy with the carseat and base just to click it in and out of the car. However, this time I've gone for a proper big Britax car seat that stays in the car all the time and it fits in with the seatbelt.

jillie - I think as far as carseats are concerned, it depends on the carseat. I know our Graco carseat from our travel system can be secured either with the base unit or with a seatbelt, although it's much easier to just snap it into the base unit than securing it with the seatbelt each time.

I just had a right preggy rant at my mum, just needed to let it all out. i can't say anything to dh as it's about his family and he just sees both sides. Think it is just cos i am pg cos i'm getting really emotional and it over something so silly as a holiday or lack of one. We didn't have a holiday last year we thought we were going aboard with hubby's family as have done so in the past before his grandad died but they went a head and booked it just for only themselves and we were told we had to stay and look after grandma for 2 weeks. This year we knew the same would happen again but they got in before we did with our dates so now we can't go away when we wanted to. But it all came to ahead as in laws rang last night and gave us a list of more dates that they are going away and dates where we have to be around for.

We have so many dates that we have got to work around never mind our own. We have 16 week hosp, 20 week hosp, 28 week hosp, look after grandma 3 weeks, ds hospital dates, New neice or nephew visit one week, look after grandma again one week, hubby at a conference one week, hubby back at uni one week. Before i know it the summer will have gone and we won't have gone any where and it is really starting to upset me. I want ds to have a beach holiday. I have tried tons of hotels and no one can fit us in and holiday parks want £600 for the week self catering  we can't afford it. If only we could be more flexible but hubby's work is being v funny about time off too. I am not sure if he can even get a morning off yet for the 16 week apt. He is having to use his holiday time for hosp apts so we are running out of time off any way.

Sorry ranted at you lot now too.
