Weight discussion..Ive weighed myself this morning..so far Ive put on 20lbs! 20lbs in 20 weeks..sounds ok I suppose, aslong as I don't go mad in the next 20 weeks!! Half a stone of that will be pure fat, which is rediculously easy to put on in America, I put that amount on last year when I went and wasn't pregnant!! Is it true that in the 2nd 20 weeks you put on 1lb a week? Is it unhealthy for baby if you don't? I don't wanna be putting another 20lbs on!!!

you guys remind me that I need to buy some pads to keep spares in my purse...I haven't had any around the house in about a year since switching to the MoonCup (godsend!!). I'm guessing you shouldn't really use one in pregnancy (even though it WOULD more accurately measure blood amounts). Not that I WANT to have any bleeding, but should always be prepared!

I was reading about mooncups on these forums yesterday, had never heard of them til then.

Doesn't the blood spill everywhere when you take it out? I imagined it to be quite watertight when inside so it keeps the blood within the cup and not spilling out of the side, but doesn't that make for a suction effect and make removal messy?? :D

Beenie - once you get the hang of it, you figure out how to take it out without making a mess - but if you're in a public toilet you can just wipe your hands off with toilet paper before leaving the cubicle to wash your hands. However it is not for people who mind being close-up with their own blood, etc. You do get some blood on your fingers when taking it out & emptying it, but it's really not a big deal and to me is totally worth a tiny bit of mess for the sheer convenience and comfort over tampons/pads. But it's a very personal choice that isn't for everyone! I LOVE not having to buy tampons/pads anymore though and not having to restock my purse before/during my period!! I just keep my MoonCup in purse all the time so when period starts, I can just pop it in.

Of course all this is moot now that I'm pregnant! :p

I'm considering getting a mooncup for after the pregnancy. Not for the immediate post-birth bit but once my periods start again.

Ohhh..... this little monster in my insides just kicked my bladder. I've been trying not to get up to pee for about ten minutes now ... and damn it. She and I are going to have a little TALK once I have changed my underwear.

Happy Birthday sugar, hope you have a lovely day. x

I have a scan today at 4pm. 32+5, very nervous if he is lying right will get to check out his features and see if the meds I was on when I fell pregnant has caused any damage. Already been sick and got dia-woo-woo. Must calm down........Must calm down.

    Hope everyone is well. x

Have you checked back and seen the list of births? I think you have missed a few.

    God, I'm bored today :(

OK, stupid me - I'll need pads for when my waters go? Don't they all go and then you're done? Or do they leak out over time?

    Urgh. Further unpleasant surprises.
