Hi Everyone I am new on here.

Has any one else experience this - how long did it last? I really want to enjoy my pregnancy (8 Weeks now) but am really depressed - feel really ill cant work or do very much. Doctors have signed me off for two weeks - but just worried what i am going to do if this doesn't ease up.

Would appreciate it if any one has any advice

Don't worry about not eating, baby will be fine. Try and drink what you can, when you can. Same with food. Everyone finds a way to cope eventually. If it's really bad your GP can prescribe anti sickness medication.

Most folk find it eases off about 12-16 weeks. You just got to make it then.

With my first it was mild ill 12 weeks then stopped. My second I had hyper emesis (sick several times a day) which didn't go till after 24 weeks and this time moderate morning sickness till 16 weeks. I just had to get on with it. Had a little bucket in the car for travelling to and from college/dropping kids off at school/nursery.

Make sure you get plenty of sleep, I had to go to bed at 10pm to get up at 7.30am, if I was later I'd be ill all the next day.

OK, I've been researching signs of being about to go into labour, as in "in the next couple of weeks" about to, not dropping overnight about to.

The only things on the list I'm missing are nausea, although that's been intermittent for days, and the "bloody" part of show. My belly's noticeably lower and smaller, my bathroom habits are frankly alarming, my energy is up and I am nesting like a mama bird and my appetite is terrifying. I am not pleased, not pleased at all. And my beloved is blithely informing me that there's still 7 1/2 weeks to go and she'll not come early. Because he's an effing doctor, and after he cheerfully recited a load of crap when talking about breastfeeding this morning. Pfft.

    Hi all..

Tara, thankyou, will check about the grapes. Oddly, I reached for the chocolate before the grapes so no damage done yet.. ;)

OH has spoken to the doctors and we've been told to leave Rhys to rest for a while - it's not like we've been making him do star jumps! :( - and then they will try him on and off CPAP every few hours over tomorrow to see how he gets on but hopefully without tiring him out. CPAP and the extra oxygen both only require little prongs up his nose, but the CPAP also involves a hat and face mask with straps which he really doesn't like and keeps pulling at :( Also with just the oxygen tube on, it means he can lift and turn his head so we kept finding him facing one way even though a few mins before the nurses had put his head facing the other..

I've been txting Sami and she and little Edgar are doing well. She's going to try to get online soon to give us all the FB link for piccies :)

Speaking of piccies, need to see if I can upload some of Rhys on this slow connection.. Wish me luck! Will be back with the link if it works...
