Awww!! yes try and relax and keep note of whats going on or get your OH to as it'll be much easier for both of you, you should maybe give the midwife on call a ring to let her know things seem to be moving along and she might even come out and examine you to see how far along you may be :j Hope it all goes well !!! xxx

I have said no to a few names DH suggested because of the same reason, if it won't be pronounce properly by everyone then it will drive me mad. Not just the letter T, but L's as well - although his fave girls name is Gabrielle, but I know people will drop the L sound for more like a W if that makes sense.

Other people think it's mad though and say people can't help how they pronounce it.

Did your midwife tell you at what stage you should make the call to tell them you are under way? Or do they leave it to your discretion to decide if it's all kicking off or not just yet?

With the birthing suite I'm to go to, if your contractions are not 5 mins apart and lasting at least 30 secs, they don't want to see you yet. Is it the same for a home birth?
