12 weeks to 28 weeks seems a really huge gap, particularly when she has been bleeding and had problems. I went for booking at 8 weeks, scan at 12 weeks (but didn't see midwife), then MW at 16 weeks, 22 weeks, and next appt at 28 weeks. But then I only get one scan - maybe she will be called for a 20 week scan. I haven't seen her notes, and it's likely she could be confused, but if not, that seems a big gap. Thanks for replying!
Oh, and I picked up my Boots changing bag today and some nappies. And a couple of John Rocha sleepsuits (20% off), and 2 summer mat tops for me. OH should know better than to ditch me for the weekend. I was so bored, I went shopping!
It is!
Not much happens between the first scan and 24 weeks though - I would say that if she ever has the slightest concern then just to book in with them regardless of what they have said. They are there to answer questions and check up on any concerns - it's their job and whilst we can chose to refuse check ups and scans if we don't feel they are necessary we can also insist on check ups if we are concerned. I think some of the birth stories have shown that we need to be pushy if we are concerned about anything!!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I had bleeding at 4 weeks and 8 weeks and i got a booking scan at 8 weeks (nothing to do with bleeding) and will have 12 week scan & first blood tests at 11+2 weeks, i've been told i will see the midwife after this and then a scan at 20 weeks. Ive got a number for the early pregnancy unit and my midwifes number incase of emergency and after 12 weeks i've got midwife support at my local hospital. They seem to keep appointments running however the pregnancy is going where i live and just leave contact numbers if you get into difficulties - which i like coz the more appointments / scans the more stressed out i get. I did rent a doppler though just for piece of mind and hope to find the heart beat in a few weeks time.0 -
