SIL is pregnant and has had bleeding/pains etc since she found out. She has had 4 early scans but they found nothing wrong. On Wed, she just had her booking appointment (at the hospital) and her 12 week scan and was given an EDD of Nov 30th. She says they told her that her next appointment would be 28 weeks!! Surely that doesn't sound right? I know it's different in all areas, and I had my booking appointment at 8 weeks at the Health Centre, but have been attending every 6 weeks since then. Is this possible, or is she confused?

    Thanks!

Fitzio - I booked in with MW at 9 weeks and she told me to come back at 24 weeks. I had a scan at 12 and 20 weeks but actually booked in with MW at 22 weeks as she suggested earlier when I phoned here at 13 weeks.
I'm now seeing her every 4 weeks

I think that is quite a gap to 28 weeks but there is nothing to stop her going at 24 weeks if she wants to!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

I don't think my belly button bothered me before, but since being pregnant, I hate OH touching it. It feels really weird. Even if I touch it myself!

12 weeks to 28 weeks seems a really huge gap, particularly when she has been bleeding and had problems. I went for booking at 8 weeks, scan at 12 weeks (but didn't see midwife), then MW at 16 weeks, 22 weeks, and next appt at 28 weeks. But then I only get one scan - maybe she will be called for a 20 week scan. I haven't seen her notes, and it's likely she could be confused, but if not, that seems a big gap. Thanks for replying!

Oh, and I picked up my Boots changing bag today and some nappies. And a couple of John Rocha sleepsuits (20% off), and 2 summer mat tops for me. OH should know better than to ditch me for the weekend. I was so bored, I went shopping!

You can see that I am bored as I can't stop talking....I am enjoying a lovely mandarin trifle thing which was reduced in M&S. I thought I would eat some tonight and keep the rest for tomorrow when DH gets back for dinner (but I think it's so light, it might not last until tomorrow). :o

MW asked me yesterday if I wanted her to come next week or the week after, don't need to see her every week so was happy to wait until 38wks.
