Maybe they're realised with paypal and ebay fees they've not made any profit and are trying to cover themselves?

Even so I think it's a bit off for something which is the size and weight of a DVD (which would cost about 50p to send!)
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

    It's gone up by 70p

Could they have realised that you have paid by Paypal and they will need to send with trackable means (recorded delivery is just under 70p)??

If so, OK, they are on the right track and trying to do things to cover themselves, BUT they should have added to their terms that for anyone paying with Paypal, to add the cost of recorded delivery to the postage amount.

I have mailed the seller asking them to amend and send me the correct amount I bid for, no reply yet.. (only been an hour since i sent the mail though)

    Correct thing to do.

It's no biggy but personally I'd only pay the orginal amount. Not worth getting a neg over though when you only a small amount of feedback.

Is there no way with paypal that you can send the amount less a discount of the 70p?!

well, you've queried it, which is a start I suppose,

    just wait for an answer.

never always assume that people are out to rip you off, it's probably just a genuine mistake as the user is fairly new

if however it's just a cash generating excercise, i'd be a little annoyed also

£1.50 would be enough to post the item 1st class recorded in a brand new jiffy bag and still have change left over!

There is something in the ebay rules (and I can't find the damn thing now) which says the postage costs given in the auction listing is only an estimation and the seller is allowed to adjust postage costs for the invoice. I cant find it anywhere now but trust me it is there.

BS, A seller can only adjust postage if they are sending out of the UK (as it will obviously cost more) and if a buyer wants their item posted by different means to the auction, such as special delivery instead of standard parcels.
