Avis Confusion?

Hi All,
Hoping somebody might have some Avis experience and be able to confirm a price i'm being quoted. I'm going to Cyprus at the end of June and currently hiring a hire car to get from Paphos downtown to Paphos Airport seems to be cheaper than a taxi.
I've found a price collecting downtown on the 4th July at 9:00am - returning to the airport 5th July 00:00 for £21.38. The cost of a taxi is c. £35-40 so it represents a fairly large saving.
The flight departs on 5th July 00:15 so i would actually be returning the car on the 4th at approximately 10pm. However if i change the time to reflect this on the booking the price rockets to £72.
Do you think i could proceed with the drop off at 00:00 on the 5th but actually return the car 2 hours early? Anyone with prior experience of earlier than stated drop offs would be appreciated!
Thanks
Will

You can drop the car off whenever you want, but you won't get anything back.0

Don't forget Avis have a high CDW excess, 600 Euros at least, so factor that into any potential saving.0

Call Avis direct. Price for 1 day seems good.0

All companys uk or none have an Colision damage waiver of around 500-600 as standard. When you collect the car you may be offered an reduction of the excess for an small additional cost around £6.0
