Has anyone been to Dublin recently for a Stag Do? I have read that they have cut down on groups of all male partys....?0

Due to go to dublin in next 6 weeks for stag do,
think there are around 8 / 9 of us.
having spent 9 euros a drink on st. paddys day there, it should be an expensive session.
Dont know if they have cut down on all male partys?
staying in youth hostel - room sleeping 10!!

I am going to dublin for st paddys day next year, we will be leaving on my birthday march 16th and staying 3 nights. My partner and his brother (one of them who is coming with us) have an on going argument as to how much a pint will cost, can you tell me how much 9 euros is so i can finally settle it.

Ooooo I know what I would do (ermm if I was male!) I'd take them all here! You can also have a video to keep of everyone having a go, which you could play snippets of at the wedding :rotfl:
We're going to do this anyway and then go snowboarding afterwards :j but they've got a climbing wall, bowling and bars.....what more could you want??Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. If you do go abroad, pick the most sensible person and ensure they have all tickets, passports and return flight information together with contacts for the local Consulate, all mobile phone numbers and so on.
And then pick the 2nd more sensible person as their backup.
I have heard of many times where people have either lost their passports, tickets or just forgotten that they have to come back.
Also have everyone photocopy their passport and carry it with themIn the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?0 -
My OH is going on his stag do to Leeds. They're watching the cricket during the day on the Saturday (ie all day drinking), along with them all dressing up then out for a session in the evening too.
The same group of friends did this 3 years ago for another friend's wedding. That time they watched cricket in Nottingham, did the dressing up thing (the stag dressed as a convict and the others as judges).Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

whilst the normal tourist areas are a good laugh, also have a wander around some of the other areas of the city, a few years back we found a few good areas not far off the main areas that the locals tended to use so were as busy as tourist areas but much cheaper and just as good a laugh, keeps you away from all the other stag do's to otherwise it's like a night back home0

Football themed? Berlin - go soak up atmosphere of world cup final?0

and pay about 4 times the normal rate for accomodation and beer. I'd suggest going to 'brit' centric place and watching it in a pub instead, cheaper but with just as much atmosphere0
