Yep mine's just tracked at £65 only as well - anyone else had this?30th June 2021 completely debt free…. Downsized, reduced working hours and living the dream.0

I'm relatively new to Quidco, never used it for something like this, so my only guess is that the rest comes through post-installation, although I'm not sure why they would do it like this, any help would be appreciated.0

Can anyone tell me why quidco has given me £65 of credit for signing up to this? Is it the case that it can come in installments? Just seems strange as the only two options were £60 or £120, and I'm in no mans land.
Cheers
Hi I've spoken to Quidco who've assured me that even though it's tracking at £65 you will get the full £120 for cable bundles. It's going to add a note on its terms to that effect.0 -
The Virgin prices are misleading - you need to add £11 per month line rental, even when you're buying a bundle that includes the phone.0

I signed up last night. Cashback on Quidco already shows (at £65 - will wait for that to transform magically into £120). Was going to sign up anyway so bonus!
It is true that Virgin are misleading with pricing. Wanted Broadband, but can't get without telephone line (extra £11). Comes to £25pm. However, you then see that TV comes "free" if you want it. Personally not that bothered as I have good freeview.
Bottom line for me - still works out little cheaper than BT for phone and BB. Will now get 10Mb broadband instead of the 1Mb that BT could supply me.
(Hmm... wonder if BT will come up with various charges to punish me for leaving them!)0 -
Navvy is right - Archna you don't seem to have factored in the obligatory line rental in your calculations....
"The £120 cashback applies on all Virgin cable packages. So for example, over a year you'd normally pay £280 for landline, TV, weekend calls and broadband which is an average of £23.33/mth. (Inc free installation & a £20 online discount). With this deal it's £160, an average of £13.33/mth.
Remember a landline on BT or TalkTalk costs £11.25 alone, so this is a cracking deal, if you're planning on getting a Virgin package."
The above doesn't allow for the £11 charge that Virgin levy for the line rental.
The Virgin site puts a little asterix next to it's bundled packages and the small print below details the line rental.
Pity - as it would have been an unbeatable deal otherwise.
Still better off with freeview or freesat and a separate phone/broadband provider.0 -
Archna is right!
£14 p/m for phone, tv, and broadband = £168
£11 p/m line rental = £132
Total = £300 - £20 online discount = £280 - as Archna quoted!
I agree that the asterisk is a wee bit cheeky, but everyone seems to have noticed it at least.
I had been thinking of signing up, and now this seems to have sealed the deal! Thanks!0 -
Hi all,
If you get the basic package it does come to £13.33/mth if you factor in the cashback. If you want a more comprehensive package you'llpay more. Virgin sneakily automatically set the selection to the higher TV package.
Quidco have added that there was a system error so you cashback amount should change to £120 in the next couple of days.
Thanks
