Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Sorry it's so late to be posting on here ... have had a really hectic day cooking Sunday Lunch for all the family and then clearing up. The whole process takes about 6 hours .... why do we do it!!

    My goals for last week were;
Have 3 'No Spend Days' - Should be OK as long as I take lunch to work with me. Yep - Managed this one but partly because I was off sick for 3 days.
Take lunch to work everyday - Will prepare each evening for next day. - No - See above.
Use food already in my overfull cupboards - I used to buy far more food than I needed out of habit but this new DFW life means I will be planning our meals and shopping for what I need. Love this one - have seriously reduced what I have in my cupboards and fridge. OH keeps opeing the fridge and asking me why we have no food!! So leading on to next goal....
Bring OH round to the DFW lifestyle - This will be my biggest challenge as he thinks I've gone mad - buying Smarties just because I want the tube for 20p's!! Partly achieved as he didn't buy computer mag he wanted which was £6 ... I think it will be long process!!
Try to get the Alliance and Leicester to give me the £50 introduced by a friend bonus before I send back the paperwork - Does anyone have an account and want to be my friend to get their £50? Done!

    So for the coming week;

    3 'No Spend Days'.
Prepare some bulk meals to put in the freezer.
Only go to the Supermarket on Thursday (for milk and bread!).
Add £2.00 to my 20p Savers Club.
Clear out shed on Thursday and put 10 items on Ebay.
Clear my Barclaycard (£72 to pay off it) - 1 Creditcard down, 19 to go!! (Small steps).

    Have a good week everyone.

    Hi all,

I have decided to post my week's goals on here to keep me inspired:

    1. Bring HM lunch/ have cheap soup and roll (70p) from canteen.
    2. Only have 1 diet coke on Wednesday drinks after work.
    3. Get tube home from (free) work meal on Thursday and NOT taxi
    4. Only spend £5 on sandwich ingredients and fruit for work, use up food in cupboards.
    5. Keep spending diary up to date on spreadsheet and post on What have you spent today thread.
    6. Keep to £40 budget for Dad's birthday present (do NOT let sister make me spend more!)

I have £8 in my purse, I am planning not to withdraw anymore cash this week. I have commitments made before lightbulb moment that I have to keep (paying for Dad's birthday meal- booked an expensive restaurant weeks ago so will be £100 at least- gulp!) so I have to ensure the rest of the month is as no spend as possible!

    Good luck everyone!
    Saving for an early retirement!
  • My goals last week were
    1. Save at least 2 £2 coins - done
    2. Have 3 no spend days - done - but when I spent on a spend day i just kept going
    3. Try to make £20 last for the week - went over by £6
    4. Make my bed every morning - managed twice this week.

    Goals this week are:
    *Track my spending
    *Have 2 no spend days
*Make bed 3 mornings this week
*Spend 20 mins tidying every night
*Try to spend no more than £25 this week
*Send of proof of address to Credit Expert

Good luck with your goals and well done to those who met theirs!

I've not done this before but I'm gonna try really hard to achieve the following: -
    1. Empty both washing baskets (that means washing everything, not just putting it on the floor or spare bed!)
    2. Put all clean clothes away.
    3. Tidy airing cupboard.
    4. Meal planning.
    5. Don't go shopping when hungry!
    6. List two books on Amazon.

I wish myself luck! (I'm gonna need it!)
    October make £10/day currently £11.02

Wasn't able to get on MSE yesterday to update my goals as I was out all day visiting friends and family. Really don't know what happened last week re. goals, the time seems to have flown by and have got hardly anything done.

    Last week:
    1) - Save more 20p's as it's only two weeks until I go and see my favourite band and I really want to buy some merchandise as they don't tour very often! Yes, managed to save £2.20.
    2) - List some more books on Amazon. Erm, no :o
    3) - Get three job applications sent. Um, only managed one.
    4) - Start business plan and research possible grants/funding for part time business. Have started business plan, but not looked into grants yet.
    5) - Continue with healthy eating. Phase out the biscuits and eat more fruit! Have only had one biscuit, but have also had loads of chocolate and junk food over the weekend, so big fail there! :o

    Goals for this week:

    1) - Order some stock for part time business and continue with business plan.
    2) - Submit three job applications.
    3) - Save at least three 20p's (to take me up to £5.)
    4) - List at least one book on Amazon.
    5) - Get back on track with healthy eating (have decided I'm allowed one 'unhealthy' meal each weekend, but I have to stay on track during the week!)
    6) - Four no spend days (Mon - Thurs) to enable me to buy merchandise at the concert on Friday night.
