Goals for w/c 26 March 2006?

My personal goal for last week (though I didn't write it down here) was to track all my spending. I've been carrying my little pocket diary with me, and writing down when I spend anything, even 50p in the soda machine. It is now getting to be fairly automatic, although I did forget to write down bus fare a couple of times (eventually remembered!) and when I signed up for my theory test online, I forgot to record the 21 for two days. But on the whole, I did pretty good.
This week:
1. Continue to track spending
2. Buy a 6 pack of Dr Pepper rather than use the machine at work (nobody has them on BOGOF at the moment)
3. Open all mail and file as needed as it arrives
Next week, I'm off work, and planning to use that week to get all my back paperwork filed and put together my SOA.
Oh dear, I'm craving a soda so bad... perhaps I should do number 2 now! :rotfl:
-MichelleHi, I'm Mich
I won a years supply of Comfort fabric softener in November 2013 - more than half remains...
2015 survey proceeds £115.360 -
Ok, first my goals from last week:
Deposit £30 of £2 coin savings into bank account and transfer £10 to savings (£20 already transferred!). Yep, done. 10/10
Keep up the eating of lots of fruit, veg etc and stop treating myself to chocolate quite so often! Use same discipline for this as applied to money saving! Yep, almost. Had one snickers to celebrate re dissertation (see below!). 9/10
Make nice food for journey rather than buy motorway services food, maybe allow one coffee if I need to stay awake! Yep, done. Bought one coffee on thurs, might buy another one today if I feel like it! 10/10
Have one no spend day. Yep, done, yesterday. 10/10
Finish a full draft of my dissertation and submit it for some feedback (final deadline is 4th April ). Not exactly money related but I tend to spend when I'm stressed so will be good to have this gone!! Yep, did it and handed it in :j :T . Only trouble is rewarded myself with a snickers and a purchase from ebay (£5.69) . Still pleased though :j . So 9/10
Yippee, 48/50 this week :j
So, some goals for next week:
Have one no spend day.
Concentrate when on first two mystery shopping assignments (monday), bit scared by the amount of detail I need to remember and report back on. Will be £20 earned though :j
Make food plan, then shopping list, then stick to it!
Keep trying to eat healthily.
Only buy 1 of the 7 nice tops I'm watching on ebay  :rotfl:
Edit to say: Also dig out paperwork on student loan so as to put debt/savings totals in my sig (as promised a week or two back!)
Have a good week everyoneDon't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003Proud to have become debt free... and striving to keep it that way

Hi
Well done on the job front and good luck for your first day.
Shutting an old account - I've just shut one that I hadn't touched for 13 years - so 3 house moves and a name change later :rotfl: meant I had to take a load of ID in with me!
You really need to go into the branch - if you've moved address since last using the account, take any proof of move if owner (I took completion statements from solicitors that showed purchase/sale addresses), utiliy bill for each address, my original signed deed poll cert for name change, and just in case, my passport.
After lugging that lot into town, they were happy with just my passport!! I suspect the new photo type driving license would also do the job (but take both parts).
Even when I closed one at the bank which I'd used quite recently, still had to go into the branch and sign the closure piece of paper, but they did credit the massive £1.73 to my current account!!
Hope that helps!Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -

3. Try and find more things to go on amazon Found and listed ine more book
4. Look in charity shops for obscure books for amazon
5. Be carfeul with water, gas, elec and pennies Think I did this ok
6. Take all library books back as 1 is late so will get a fine Took back and they didn't fine me so
This week
1.) Try and only use washing machine 4 times (starting tomo)
and other than that just get back on track, I have gone from being completely money saving mad to starting to slip into old habits, i need to find a happy medium.
good luck everyoneMay 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -
Hi I have missed out on this for a week or so now. But back again, here are my goals.
1. Have 2 no spend days this week.
2. Try to find a cheap or free rabbit hutch. Having 2 baby rabbits for free in April, but trying to spend as little as possible on hutch etc.
3. Put loose change in credit union account.
4. Deliver and collect Avon Booklets and hopefully get plenty of orders.
That's enough for this week I think.
