Compulsary insuranec e2save & mobiles.co.uk
When trying to buy a phone online, these two sites (subsidiaries of Carphone Warehouse) force me to take out "free" insurance for one month, which costs £5.99 per month afterwards. There is no option to opt out of this.
It says on the site that you can only cancel the insurance once you have received the policy documents. It says you will find out how to cancel on page 10 of the policy documents.
It all looks like a super big con to me, the insurance covers so few circumstances that I can't see how it is worth £5.99 a month.
What I want to ask, has anyone bought phones from these sites and managed to cancel the insurance? How did you cancel the insurance?
