    Sorry I didn't mean to cause ill-feeling by my post.

    I just highlighted one example of something that happened to show how a child can be upset when parents refuse to negotiate to put the childs wishes first. I'm aware it can be either the mother or the father who can be awkward and use the children as pawns.

    You didn't do such a thing Becles, no i'll feelings felt on this thread so far as far as i can see :D

    Your right though, some parents can be selfish to their childrens needs. The children will know themselves who it was that made it hard for them as kids. As long as a parent puts the kids needs first, nothing can come back on you when they are older. It's vital both parents can remain friends for their kids sake and wellbeing.

    I went to see a solicitor today as well for piece of mind and feel much more confident about the siutation now
